From Johnny Football to Cowboys-Commanders memories there is a plethora of news to get your Friday started

A Starter Again, Cassel Benefited From Watching Romo Run The Offense - DallasCowboys.com staff

The carousel that is the quarterback position in Dallas makes its second stop on Matt Cassel, and this time he will have the benefit of watching Tony Romo show how it should be done.

"The little nuances to it or the cadences, the simple things that he does at the line of scrimmage, some of the protections that he was able to get to - it was great for me to see that and see that in person, because when you're watching it on film, you're just watching a cut-up reel or something like that. You don't completely understand it. But when you're out there on a day-to-day and watching practice and seeing it in a game, it was very helpful for me." - Matt Cassel

No doubt the experience helped, but the question is how much and will it make any difference?

Morris Claiborne isn’t Worried About His Future With The Dallas Cowboys - Drew Davison, Ft. Worth Star-Telegram

25 completions on 44 times he has been targeted, and not a single interception to show for it. I would say that Pick Six is not the only person not worrying about his future in Dallas. Perhaps he can find a job where ever Rob Ryan lands.

Dez: This Is The Best I Have Felt Since I've Returned From Surgery - David Helman, DallasCowboys.com

Thursday marked the first time that Bryant has been a full participant is practice since the team finished up the pre-season. From the sound of things he is not where he wants to be but Dez is feeling better than he has since the injury against the Giants that cost him and the Cowboys so dearly. Good news indeed, but let's hope nothing else happens in this star crossed season.

"I’ll tell you this: This is the best I ever felt," he said. "This is the best I ever felt – I don’t want to say ever. Since I’ve been back playing."

"I’m trying my best to get right. For me to get right I got to be practicing, I got to be out there in games to get back to the level I want to be at," he said. "I’m feeling better by the day. This is the best I’ve felt in practice. This has been my real, full practice."

Jerry Jones Numb From Cowboys' Record - Todd Archer, ESPNDallas.com

No matter the results on any given Sunday Jerry Jones and 31 other owners in the National Football League are winners when it is time to make the weekly bank deposit and many of his fellow owners are fine with that. Not Mr. Jones. Jerry was a pretty fair player himself back in the day and has a college National Championship ring to show for it. Winning is as much a passion for him as it was for Al Davis. Jerry is feeling the sting of a 3-8 mark as much as anyone.

Why Can't Cowboys Offense Close The Deal When It Has A Lead? - One Cool Customer, Bloggingtheboys.com

It doesn't hurt to toot your own horn every now and then, especially when the post is one from the Google himself. OCC asks the million dollar question and then gives the answer.

Throwback Thursday: Commanders And Cowboys MNF Match-ups - varedskinsfan, HogsHaven.com

Our sister site here at SBNation takes a look at the history between the two storied franchises. This is the kind of stuff I love to write but have not had the time to consider this season.

Michael Irvin Says He'd "Take a Flyer" on Johnny Manziel - Scott Crisp, NBCDFW.com

It is no big secret that there is some Aggie love from a couple of the front page writers here at BTB, including yours truly. That does not cloud my judgement on Johnny. I don't think Dallas is the place for him, and the Playmaker agrees. Johnny can be good in this league, but it does not need to happen in Dallas.

Throwback Thursday: Backup QB Lifts Cowboys Past Undefeated Commanders - DallasCowboys.com

Always a good memory to revisit during Commanders week, and no it isn't Clint Longley.
