You haven't seen the team fight with Romo at QB? You haven't been paying attention then. The absurdities on this board this season are off the charts.

I look forward to this team winning a title...THIS YEAR. Not after someone leans some things in a couple years. You say all of his shortcomings are not permanent. You don't know that. Some of them are of the variety that may be. Things some QBs never get. And others are things that are corrected in the offseason, not in the middle.

I hate that the team has this opportunity with such a strong cast (and some credit to Dak for holding down the ship) and that they seem determined to blow it.
well this is where your opinion is different.

Romo has the talent and the know how to take this team to the top. Problem he has is two fold. for the first several years he has played pretty well but he would make that critical mistake and the most crucial times. It was not like the amount of mistakes that was high, just the timing. then for a couple years, 2014 included, he played well and it is main reason fans like you, as I have even into this year, stand behind him even now. Problem is he is 36 and often injured. I mean 3 back injuries, 3 collarbone fractures, i believe minor rib fracture in there somewhere. I just don't believe he is gonna be able to stand up to the beatings long enough to take us anywhere close to a superbowl. And no, this team has not played as a cohesive unit very much with Romo. Do you remember all the times we would yell about how this team doesn't get up to play when they need to. Well I won't get into all that. It speaks on the field. This team has the exact same talent on the field this year as it has for the past 3 or 4 years with the exception of Zeke. They are getting up to play hard every game and much harder than their talent dictates, on defense anyways.

You don't agree with the majority opinion, thats ok you don't have to. That is what fans are for. The team doesn't decide who to play or what to do based on fans anyways, so who really cares, right... Fans have opinions. You have your opinion, others have theirs. All I have to say to you is others not agreeing with your OPINION doesn't make them wrong, just not the same.

SMH....opinions can be wrong. In this case I think many of you are very very wrong.

Most of the 8-man boxes have been in obvious running situations, or when we've gone with 2 TE.

From PFF, by way of Mosher:

That doesn't say anything about passing downs where it becomes a factor for Prescott.

Best thing about Dak is he protects the ball and still makes plays. Still needs to learn to throw a jump ball but he has his whole career ahead if him.

Stellar performance this afternoon.

Dak has gotten away with a lot of things. The under throw to T Will down the field that should've been picked but the CB didn't play the ball and interfered with the pass so it moved the ball 40 yards down field.

The constant high throws and inaccurate passes. Dak has been very fortunate.

Dak has something that can't be learned, he knows how to win, and up to this point he has been able to avoid the mistake that would cost the team a game. So to say a rookie quarterback with 10 starts under his belt,( and a 9-1 record) has a lot to learn isn't news to anyone, what would be news is if he didn't have anything to learn. Every game takes on it's on personality, defenses get paid to make quarterbacks look bad. It's just amazing how a raw rookie is continually is compared to 13 year veteran that has started for 10 years. I'm going to say it once again, encase some have forgotten, Romo rode the bench his first 3 years because he was not ready to play in the league. Can anyone here imagine how he would have played? had he been put right into the starting line up straight out of Eastern Illinois.

I agree that Dak has more learning to do but thus far has passed each test and is improving before our eyes. The game vs the Raven was big for Dak who once again threw for over 300 yards and back to back 3 TD passing games. Ravens went in looking to slow down the Cowboys run game and did a pretty good job of it. The game was put in the hands of Dak and he got it done.

Sure there is more developing but it is happening.

That Child Play poster must be miserable today, he is just waiting for Dak to hit a bump in the road for "I told you so's". He will have some but so far the kids been overcoming them and winning, we all just need to enjoy the ride this kind of run doesn't happen often.

Dak will be the 1st to say he has much to learn. He knows how to WIN. Really, for fans, what else do you want. To be 5-5 or 6-4 with a few 400 yard passing games and 6 or 7 more passing TD's and 4 or 5 more INT's?

I don't care about I told you so's. That seems to be what Dak fanboys are all about.

I just want what is best for the team, period.

This was a good, respectful post.

I agree with ChildsPlay regarding this issue, but you are right. We are all entitled to our opinion and the team could care less of what it is.

And you can't lay the blame of the team not getting up for games at times at the feet of Romo. That's on the coaching staff getting his team ready to play. Romo had a talented team around him on offense during the 2007 season. It was hardly his fault they lost that game against the Giants in the playoffs. He also had a talented team on offense around him in 14 and we all know how it all ended in Green Bay.

Romo's playoff stats are pretty good and I believe he has been criticized way too much but again, that's my opinion.

As far as the QB situation goes. Yes, I do think Tony Romo, a healthy Tony Romo, would be better for this team overall right now. That doesn't take anything away from Dak and I do realize that it is the minority opinion here. A rookie has never taken his team to a Super Bowl win and I won't lie and say that it's not in the back of my mind this year, no matter how well we are playing now.

Not as much as I'd like. Because I have a sinking feeling they're going to blow it (not the players, the higher ups).

I am enjoying the hell out of this season. Winning is what it's all about.

However I do have the same concerns you have.

This year was unexpected, for my self anyways this season has already been successful, the future is looking good. But I understand the younger generation who haven't seen the Cowboys win it all, wanting it all this year.

I wouldn't say I'm part of the younger generation. I've definitely seen them win it all. My expectations going into this season were very high, and seeing how dominant this OL can be and how good Zeke is (and surprisingly how well the D has done) really highlights how special this year could be.

I hope it continues, but you know this league, there will be bumps in the road. Even the dynasty teams had bad losses and had to pay their dues. But I like the prospects. Good conversation, thanks.
