The Cowboys started preparations for the Green Bay game.

The Dallas Cowboys started their practice preparations for the Divisional Playoff game against the Green Bay Packers today. It is cold in Dallas, so the Cowboys practiced outside to get "acclimated" to the cold weather expected in Green Bay on Sunday. Right now, the temperature in Green Bay for the game is predicted to be in the teens.

As per usual, Tony Romo did not practice today in keeping with his "Wednesday off" routine. The Cowboys were already expecting that right tackle Doug Free would not participate in the Green Bay game so his absence from practice today was normal.

Of the players who missed practice but who could still play on Sunday, we have three. Anthony Hitchens has the high ankle sprain but was forced into action against Detroit. He probably won't practice much this week but since he played last week and experienced no setbacks, he should play this week. The man he had to come in for, Rolando McClain, was also absent today. His status is a little trickier as he needs to clear concussion protocols before he can go on Sunday. He is also dealing with a neck issue but that isn't supposed to keep him out. Finally, we have defensive tackle Terrell McClain who tweaked his ankle in the Lions game but managed to play through it. He says he'll be able to go on Sunday but that they'll keep him out of practice some this week.
