News: BTB: Dallas at Washington final injury report: Dan Bailey could miss “four or more” games

The final injury report for Sunday’s Washington and Dallas game.

As the Cowboys get ready to take on NFC East rival Washington on Sunday, we get the final injury report for the week. As expected, Dan Bailey has been ruled out of the game, but surprisingly we learned he may be out for longer than just a game or two. It could be a month or more.

Life without Dan Bailey seems like it’ll be more than a game or two. In fact, Cowboys VP Stephen Jones said on Friday that it’s likely the team will be without their kicker for a month, if not longer. “Four or more,” Jones said, when asked how many games Bailey could conceivably miss because of a groin strain he suffered last week in San Francisco.

That’s certainly a scary proposition for a team that is making a playoff push and relies on their kicker for automatic extra-points and long field goals. Replacement Mike Nugent has his work cut out for him.

Also out of Sunday’s game is Chidobe Awuzie who is still having issues with the hamstring.

Mailek Collins popped up on the injury report yesterday with a foot problem, he is listed as questionable. That would be a real issue if he couldn’t go at what is already a thin defensive tackle rotation. Reserve linebacker and all-around special teams guy, Kyle Wilber, is also listed as questionable with a knee injury. Another reserve linebacker, Justin Durant, is still questionable, the same as last week when he was unable to go.

The Washington injury report is long, but it does look like corner Josh Norman should be able to go. One player that has been ruled is center Spencer Long. The rest of the linemen should be game-time decisions, although Brandon Scherff and Trent Williams haven’t practiced all week.
