The Dallas Cowboys have finalized their 53-man roster, and now they go about signing 10 players to their practice squad. See the rumors and signings for the team's 2015 practice squad.
On the heels of the Cowboys trading for Christine Michael, the Cowboys add an other running back, this time to their practice squad. According to his agent, Gus Johnson was signed to the Cowboys practice squad today.

Gus The Bus showed a lot of promise after joining the Cowboys late in July. So much so that earlier this week, Aaron Wilson of The Houston Chronicle reported the Cowboys would like to stash Johnson on the practice squad. And that's just what they did today.
Johnson, undrafted out of Stephen F. Austin, led the Cowboys in rushing in the preseason with 37 carries for 139 yards and two touchdowns. He started the first and fourth preseason game for the Cowboys.
With the signing, Johnson probably won a PS spot over Ben Malena, and his nice touchdown run against the Texans, where he sliced through defenders, may have been one factor in sealing the deal.

QB Jameill Showers is the second confirmed signing. The Cowboys were intrigued enough by his skill set and his versatility to sign him to the PS. Showers finished the preseason 15-of-32 passing for 125 yards with one touchdown and one interception, and stood out for his special teams play as well, where he led Special Teams with three tackles through three games.
