Darren McFadden inactive; former Cowboy Ron Leary active for Broncos

The Dallas Cowboys take on the Denver Broncos shortly in their second contest of the 2017 season. After defeating the New York Giants to open the schedule, the Cowboys face another stiff test in the Broncos’ elite defense and the high altitude.

The Cowboys will be without cornerback Orlando Scandrick, who was ruled out earlier in the week due to a fracture in his hand in which he suffered in the first half of game one. Kellen Moore and Alfred Morris get the nods over Cooper Rush and Darren McFadden. Chaz Green will start at left guard after a solid performance against the Giants, making Jonathan Cooper inactive for the second consecutive week.

Jourdan Lewis will make his debut for the Cowboys after missing the opener. It also appears that rookie Noah Brown may get some action for the silver and blue today. The seventh-round pick out of Ohio State impressed during camp and the preseason. With Terrance Williams banged up, Brown will get his first opportunity on the active roster.

On the Broncos side of things, quarterback Paxton Lynch, running back Devontae Booker, and defensive end Zach Kerr headline the inactives.

One name not on the inactive list? Former Dallas Cowboys guard Ron Leary. Leary was in concussion protocol this week, but it appears that he has passed the tests and will suit up against his former team.

The Cowboys and Broncos kickoff at 4:25 ET on FOX. Make sure to follow along the game threads and on both Twitter and Facebook. Go Cowboys!
