Here are five offensive players that the Cowboys took time out to meet in Mobile, Alabama.
We brought you a list of six defensive players that the Dallas Cowboys met with while they were down in Mobile, now it’s time for some offensive guys. They’ve done a great job at finding talent in the past after getting a chance to see them compete at this All-Star game. Guys that have made Pro Bowls over the last few years first caught the eyes of this front office by competing in this very game. Here are a few guys they sought out to meet with:
OT Adam Bisnowaty, Pittsburgh, 6’6, 307 lbs (6th OT CBS)
Rob Rang says: He shows the ability to anchor, showing good core flexibility and at least adequate balance to remain outside at tackle in the NFL. His upper body power and also shows up in the running game, where Bisnowaty shows some nastiness in his play, often driving opponents off the ball and playing through the whistle. Bisnowaty has the physical talent and mean streak to project as a starting right tackle in the NFL, though his adaptation to the new position could require some patience.
Projection: 2nd or 3rd Round
OG Dion Dawkins, Temple, 6’4, 317 lbs (4th OG CBS)
Rob Rang says: When he keeps his pad level low, Dawkins can drive defenders off the ball, firing out of his three-point stance. Football is a big man's game and they don't come much bigger or more powerful than Dawkins. With the frame, power, agility and mentality to help quickly at tackle or guard, Dawkins looks like a potential Day One starter.
Projection: 2nd or 3rd Round
RB Corey Clement, Wisconsin, 5’10, 221 lbs (12th RB CBS)
Dane Brugler says: Clement has a similar body type as Melvin Gordon with the agile feet and balance to make quick cuts and accelerate away from defenders. He sees the field well to follow blocks with patience, but also has the decisive toughness to attack the second level with a head of steam.
Projection: 4th or 5th Round
WR Fred Ross, Mississippi State, 6’1, 203 lbs (31st WR CBS)
Dane Brugler says: “Body control and length allow him to be consistent finishing throws away from his frame. Works back to the ball well and understands how to manipulate space in his routes to turn catches downfield and weave through the defense. Runs with the balance to breeze through arm tackles and generate YAC production. He will lose focus at times and rely on his body to finish grabs. Won't consistently shake square tackle attempts.”
Projection: 5th or 6th Round
WR Amara Darboh, Michigan, 6’2, 215 lbs (11th WR CBS)
BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1 says: Darboh led Michigan in 2016 with 57 receptions for 862 yards and seven touchdowns. He is a solid receiver who has quality hands, route-running and quickness. He had some contributions as a junior (58-727-5) and sophomore (36-473-2). Darboh participated in the Senior Bowl.
Projection: 3rd or 4th Round
