The Dallas Cowboys finished their second practice (out of three) in their June minicamp. We got some updates about injuries and also some clues as to who is where on the depth chart.

The disappointing news is that Morris Claiborne tweaked his hamstring in yesterday's practice so the Cowboys were cautious with him today.

Maybe It was all very precautionary, but Claiborne with any kind of injury starts to feed into the narrative that he will never be completely healthy. With Claiborne out, and Orlando Scandrick still out while rehabbing his ACL for training camp, who manned the corner spots?

First-team CBs: Anthony Brown at nickel, Brandon Carr on the right, Deji Olatoye on the left

But the big star in the secondary on the day was not a corner, but safety Jeff Heath.

Jeff Heath came up with two takeaways in full team. Recovered a fumble, and read Dak Prescott like a book on a pick-six.

As the Rolando McClain watch continues, this update.

Rolando McClain worked a little bit off to the side with the other rehab players. Chaz Green left practice early, looked like dehydration.

Your first-team defensive line.

First-team defensive line: Randy Gregory at right DE, Terrell McClain and Tyrone Crawford at DT, Ryan Russell at left DE

Interesting, but wouldn't read too much into it, I don't think there is any doubt Cedric Thornton will be the starter at 1-tech. But I guess we need to start keeping an eye on Ryan Russell, who is slowly becoming someone people are talking about at Valley Ranch.

A lot of praise for Ryan Russell from Jason Garrett. Russell got first-team reps at right DE and left DE yesterday

Looking for an UDFA who made an impact?

Rookie WR Andy Jones had a great practice. Ran with the 1s in full team. Made a great, back shoulder touchdown grab against the D.
