Dallas Likely To Get Three Seventh Round Compensatory Picks - Blogging The Boys
It appears that Dallas might have three additional compensatory picks at the end of the draft, bringing their total to 11 picks. In 2013, the Cowboys lost more unrestricted free agents than they signed, so they'll likely be awarded compensatory picks for John Phillips, Victor Butler, and Mike Jenkins. With up to eight picks in rounds 4-7, the third day of the draft could be highly interesting for Cowboys fans this year.

One of the many questions Archer answers is about the need for a safety, which Archer doesn't see as that high a priority, perferring defensive linemen or een an offensive lineman instead.
I don’t think it’s the No. 1 priority. I think that’s the defensive line. They need more players there than at any other position. The recent mock drafts done by Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay have the Cowboys drafting Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. That’s a good enough move if there are no defensive tackles or ends there. I might even say grab an offensive lineman before a safety.
