Latest Cowboys headlines: Why a new contract with Rolando McClain may not happen; The more picks, the better for the Cowboys; Watch some of Tony Romo's most epic scrambles.
Tony Romo - Dallas Cowboys - Is He The NFL's Best Scrambler?
You'll want to watch this video before it eventually could be taken down by the NFL.
Why Rolando McClain’s ‘Path’ Might Take Him Away From Cowboys - Mike Fisher, CBS DFW
Fisher shares his thoughts on why a new contract with McClain may not happen:
In addition to the usual contractual issues — money and years — this is about trust and reliability. Sources tell me the Cowboys staff felt hamstrung by McClain’s occasional availability, by having to wonder if his body and his psyche were always willing. If the Cowboys stand firm on not wanting to overpay McClain (or on paying him at all), they will likely be a less talented team for it. But trust is monumental here.
Remaining team needs in free agency - NFL.com
Shocking revelation from NFL.com: The Cowboys may still have a need at running back.
Darren McFadden is an interesting fit because he is more reliant on scheme and offensive line than other backs, but it's a leap of faith to suggest he will remain healthy and productive for 16 games. The Cowboys needs a more reliable replacement for the 2014 Offensive Player of the Year. Other teams in need of a running back include the Cardinals, Chargers and Jaguars.
NFL Draft: The more picks, the better for the Cowboys - Todd Archer, ESPN Dallas
In response to a Twitter question about the possibility of the Cowboys moving up in the draft, Archer argues that the Cowboys should do the opposite.
Here's why I don't see the Cowboys making any big moves up in the draft: They need as many players as possible. The draft is the best way to get them. They gave up their third rounder to get Lawrence last year. I just can't see them risking giving up more picks to move up. The more likely scenario, to me, is moving down and acquiring picks. The more picks, the better. The Cowboys need to find depth to help fill out this team and offset their big cap numbers at the top end of the roster.
Greg Hardy should be ace of Dallas Cowboys' DL rotation - Todd Archer, ESPN Dallas
Archer makes a strong case for why Greg hardy shouldn't be on a snap count in Dallas, despite Rod Marinelli favoring a rotation among his defensive linemen.
The addition of Greg Hardy could alter Marinelli's approach. With Hardy scheduled to earn a $750,000 base salary and roughly $578,000 for every game he is on the 53-man roster, the Cowboys want to get their money's worth out of the player. How will [they be ] getting the proper value on such a highly-paid defensive end? [...]
It's a one-year deal.
The Cowboys were more than willing to use DeMarco Murray as often as possible last season in a contract year, giving him 392 carries during the season to go along with 57 catches. It makes no sense in keeping Hardy on a pitch count ... err, snap count.
Should Dallas Cowboys look at Orlando Scandrick's contract? - Todd Archer, ESPN Dallas
Archer argues that the Cowboys may want to give Scandrick a pay bump.
Scandrick is set to make $10.5 million over the next four seasons, a relative pittance for a team's best cornerback.
Despite drawing a line on DeMarco Murray in contract talks, the Cowboys take care of their own. They have given Scandrick three deals over the years, and he has met the expectations -- if not exceeded them.

Frank Gore on why he picked Colts over Eagles: I wanted to play with a great QB - CBSSports.com
Frank Gore doesn't seem to think there are any great quarterbacks on the roster in Philadelphia.
George Selvie Agrees To Terms With New York Giants - Blogging The Boys
The New York Giants have reached an agreement with former Cowboys defensive end George Selvie for the 2015 season. It's a one-year deal that could be worth up to $1.4 million with incentives.
Ironically, the signing comes directly on the heels of John Mara complaining about a mediocre free agent class. Here's a screenshot of the NFL.com front page from yesterday:
