First five games: vs. Giants, at Commanders, vs. Bears, at 49ers, vs. Bengals
The good news for Dallas is that they get the Giants and Bengals both at home, which makes those winnable games. The Bears and 49ers should both be victories, and going on the road against the Commanders will be interesting.
If you believe that the Commanders are the real deal, then this should be a loss for Dallas. If not, then the Cowboys can go 5-0. The toughest game will be against the Bengals regardless, but if they enter that game at 4-0 with strong momentum, they should get the job done and celebrate a 5-0 record.

As we previously mentioned, the Cowboys will have Romo back under center, and that alone should make 2016 a much better season for "America’s Team." As far as their schedule goes, the Cowboys have the fourth-lowest strength of schedule in the league (their opponents had a combined winning percentage of just 0.465 in 2015), they have only one short week, and outside of matchups with the Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers in Week 5 and Week 6, respectively, they don’t have difficult games in back-to-back weeks at any other point in the season. All said, with this schedule, the Cowboys should have no problem reaching double-digit wins in 2016.

Without him, the Cowboys would be forced to play inexperienced players, like Deli Olatoye or Anthony Brown, or move Byron Jones back to cornerback and slide Jeff Heath and J.J. Wilcox into the starting lineup. None of which inspire much confidence. Don’t tell anyone, but if Claiborne stays healthy and plays at the level he is capable of, the Cowboys have a sneaky good secondary. Carr is a solid cornerback who isn’t without his warts, but who is consistently solid. Scandrick was on the cusp of becoming an excellent cornerback before a torn ACL and MCL. If he returns to his normal self, the Cowboys have three good cornerbacks, which is a lot more than most teams can say.

In his Twitter mailbag, Archer shares his thoughts on which defender will make the biggest leap in 2016 and who else will need to step up on defense.
I would go with Byron Jones. He was pretty good as a rookie, especially considering all the positions he had to play in 2015. Now that he is a safety only, he'll be able to focus on what he needs to do there and not worry about slot corner or outside corner very much. He did not have an interception last season, but he was far from alone in that department. He has range. He has athleticism. He is smart. He can make a false step and recover. I’d expect him to make a leap this year, and not just because of the record-setting broad jump he had at the scouting combine in 2015.
As to the second part of the question, the answer is everybody. This can’t be a defense reliant on one person. They don’t have a DeMarcus Ware type who can roll out of bed and get 8 or 10 sacks. They’re going to need everybody. But at the top of the list, I’m going with the corners: Orlando Scandrick, Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne. If they can play at a high level, that will help a pass rush that looks rather anonymous right now.

Competition is the name of the game at kick returner, and the Cowboys appear to have options.
Whitehead will have competition this summer. Receivers such as Ed Eagan and Chris Brown are in the same position he was last year: undrafted and looking for special teams roles that could help earn a roster spot. Both could get a look on punt returns, and veteran Cole Beasley is always a reliable option back there.

The stars were out in Shreveport Saturday as Morris Claiborne brought his annual one-day football camp to Shreveport.
Claiborne was joined by fellow Cowboy and Haughton alum Dak Prescott, LSU corner and Shreveport native Tre'Davious White, LSU linebacker Kendell Beckwith, Eagles wideout and LSU alum Rueben Randle, and others [including DB Ricky Jefferson (LSU), and DL M.J. Patterson (LSU)].
As for Prescott, he enjoyed his first time working with his new teammate, "It's awesome, just to be a part of the Cowboys and be able to come back help Morris with this camp. Just to give back, come with a great attitude, and help these kids learn something about the game and life. It's very special."
The camp was free and attended by about 500 local youths, some of whom got to hear this pep talk from Dak Prescott:

Moore won many awards in college, one of which was the Touchdown Club of Columbus Quarterback of the Year award which he won twice. In 2012, the year he entered the NFL, it was announced that the award would henceforth be named the Kellen Moore Award.

Suisham had two stints with the Cowboys, one from 2005-2006 and another in 2009. He missed all of 2015 after tearing his ACL in last year's Hall of Fame game, and announced his retirment after he was released by the Steelers.
