All the nonsense is put to rest and it's back to the gridiron for one of the NFL's elite receivers. cowboyszone rejoice as your X-factor is here for the long haul.

Dez Bryant just got off perhaps the most "bumpy" ride of his life with the Dallas Cowboys. All the stories that flooded the man's life for so long are now put to rest. There are no unicorn videos or acrimony to be found around the halls of Valley Ranch this evening. These are just the types of things to expect when you are as polarizing as Bryant, who admitted to reporters, it was certainly a hard thing for him to grasp.

"It’s the first time I’ve ever been in this kind of situation, and it was extremely hard," he said. "It’s the whole reason why I came out to OTAs. I knew I was going to hear it from my agent, I was like ‘I don’t care."

Bryant of course is referring to the many times he was spotted at Cowboys events dating back to the Cowboys Draft Party, OTA's and the final practice of minicamp. Tom Condon probably wasn't too keen on Bryant being so close to the organization during a stand-still negotiation process, but that's just who Dez Bryant is.

"I’ve never been in this situation. I love my teammates, and I love the environment. I believe in building relationships with guys in order to be successful in anything that you do," said Bryant.

Frustrations though can often get the best of you and it takes strength to persevere through these things. Dez has a ton of loyalty to the organization, but he warned the Cowboys back in November.

"I love it (here). I really do. But every day you grow. Let's see what happens. It's all about respect. It's all about respect. I am a very loyal person, but just don't test my loyalty."

Though that statement was emphatic, nothing was more so than when negotiations were going nowhere and Bryant threatened to miss regular season games. This past Monday he reiterated that he planned to skip training camp and games if a deal could not be reached by the 3 PM CST deadline. By doing so, he would have to forfeit checks of $750,000 per week. Bryant spoke shortly after signing that he was serious about his situation.

"I’m a very passionate person, and I’m one of those guys that – I am that guy that, I have to stand by my word, because that’s how I want to raise my babies. It was all me. It was honest," he said.

We will never know if Bryant was 100% serious about it all and that's not the point. The point is that neither the Cowboys or Bryant wanted this dark cloud following them into training camp nor the season for that matter. Especially when you look at this team as serious contenders, as both the Jones' and Bryant himself do. Dez admittedly giddy of today's events got the call to come to Valley Ranch and he knew it was going to be good news.

"I smiled the whole way over here – I couldn’t even say nothing but just smile and laugh, because I couldn’t believe it," Bryant said. "All I could just think about is that it’s a dream – a dream come true. I think the only thing that’s missing is a Super Bowl."

The five-year deal worth $70 million with $45 million guaranteed both secures Dez Bryant's future and keeps the club in good shape moving forward. Now that the numbers are all ironed out. Bryant has one message for cowboyszone and the NFL for that matter.

"Now that we’ve got the deal done, I can only imagine what’s fixing to go down this season," Bryant said. "We’re Super Bowl ready."

The Cowboys are set to head out to Oxnard at the end of the month. Now the biggest elephant in the room has been placed back in the cage and won't resurface again until 2020, Bryant's free agent year. However, knowing what we do about number 88, my money is on him being a "Cowboy for life." Something he hasn't been shy about since being drafted 24th overall in 2010. So go ahead Dez, Throw up that X, you have certainly earned it.
