Per Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas, the Cowboys have released running back Kendial Lawrence.
RB Kendial Lawrence has been released. Cowboys expect to go with 4 RBs.

This makes Lawrence the sixth player cut by the Cowboys so far, and the first that's been announced today, as the Cowboys work towards reducing their roster to 53 players by 6:00 pm ET tonight.
Lawrence joined the Cowboy with intriguing speed and an impressive 37" vertical leap, but he couldn't move ahead of the four running backs ahead of him on the depth chart. Lawrence is widely expected to be a candidate for the Cowboys Practice Squad.
Lawrence responded to the news of his release with the following tweet:
Good luck, Kendial!
