In conjunction with the Salvation Army, the Dallas Cowboys are hosting a sleepover for underserved children in the Dallas area.
AT&T Stadium will be transformed from a football stadium into a campground on Friday night. The Dallas Cowboys and their official charitable organization, the Salvation Army, in conjunction with Ashley Furniture will be playing host to 100 Dallas area children. Ashley is donating 100 beds for the event, which will be delivered to the children at home once the festivities are over. Before that, however; the youngsters will be treated to some memories that will last a lifetime.
To kick things off the kids will be greeted by Cowboys linebackers Kyle Wilber and Anthony Hitchens who will be their hosts for an evening of fun and games. Wilber and Hitchens will be joined by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and the team's mascot, Rowdy. The evening will also include a pizza party, presumably catered by one of Jerry Jones' Papa Johns locations, and will conclude with movies being shown on the enormous video screens that are a staple of the Cowboys home.
The event will be the experience of a lifetime for the children who will participate.
"A Hope To Dream was established in 2010 to help provide beds for deserving children without a bed of their own, We are excited about providing this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for 100 local kids to spend the night in an unbelievable facility, AT&T Stadium, and to be hosted by the Dallas Cowboys organization. Each child will leave with their own bed." - Michael Levitz, Ashley Furniture President

The Jones family and the organization have long been supporters of the community in many ways, and an event like this will make another positive impact on the community.
