Per Todd Archer, the Cowboys have traded defensive tackle Sean Lissemore to the Chargers:

Cowboys with another trade: deal DT Sean Lissemore to SD for 2015 seventh rounder, according to sources

Back in May, our own rabblerousr had opined that Sean Lissemore might be a bad fit for the new 4-3 scheme:

Lissy has the right size (6'3", 303) to play defensive tackle in this scheme, and has been a versatile guy in the past, playing both the five technique and nose tackle in the previous scheme. Moreover, he's a high-motor guy who plays with a great deal of tenacity, working to the ball until the whistle. That said, I wonder whether he has the requisite skillset to succeed in this system. When he subbed in for an injured Jay Ratliff last year, Lissemore failed to demonstrate the requisite strength to take on double teams, as the one technique must do. On the other hand, I don't believe he has the necessary quickness to play the three (or the one, for that matter).

Sean Lissemore never really got comfortable with the new position throughout training camp, and eventually saw newly signed DT Nick Hayden overtake him on the depth chart.

The Chargers get very good value in the trade, as they get a solid 3-4 DE who'll be a good addition to their defensive line rotation. The Cowboys on the other hand get at least some value in return for a player that wouldn't have had much of a future in the new scheme.

And for all the Chargers fans wondering what the ink on Lissy's right arm means, "Tada gan iarracht" is Gaelic and means "Nothing without effort."
