Information on the Dallas Cowboys 2016 Week 12 (Thanksgiving Day) game against Washington, including the game time, TV channel, how to stream the Cowboys game online, injuries, radio, odds, announcers, predictions, and more!
It's almost Thanksgiving Day, so you know the Dallas Cowboys are preparing for a game. The Cowboys will host their NFC East rivals Washington on Turkey Day, with Dallas sporting a 9-1 record and Washington at 6-3-1. Washington has been making a push to make the playoffs after opening the season 0-2, including a Week 2 loss to the Cowboys. This game is crucial to their hopes to make the post-season.
Dallas is firing on all cylinders after taking out the Baltimore Ravens last week, 27-17. The Cowboys put up over 400 yards on offense against the Ravens, who were widely-recognized as one of the best defenses in the league, especially their run defense. The Washington defense is a little more middle-of-the-road. They're 18th in points allowed per game (23.3) and 23rd in yards per game allowed (371.3). It's unlikely they will shut down the Cowboys powerful offense, so this may turn into a shootout.
The Washington offense is on track behind quarterback Kirk Cousins. They are ninth in the league in points per game (25.4) and second in yards per game (418.5). They have an array of receiving options including DeSean Jackson and Jordan Reed.
Of course this is a very old rivalry, and had been one of the NFL's best until both teams fell onto hard times. At various points one or the other have been good, but they haven't been good at the the same time very much lately. This year, with the Cowboys at 9-1 and Washington still fighting for a playoff spot, the two franchises are returning some of the fire back to the rivalry.
So sit back, enjoy some turkey on Thanksgiving Day and take in some pigskin!
