Just 17 days after suffering a hairline fracture in his knee, Dez Bryant is back at practice and ready to go.

This marks the first time he's participated in practice since it was discovered after the Week 3 win against the Bears that Bryant was suffering a hairline fracture in his knee.

DallasCowboys.com reports that Bryant participated on a limited basis, and Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas reported on his impressions of Bryant during practice:

During the open portion of practice to the media Bryant went through stretching, pat and go as well as on-air plays. He also ran a number of routes and didn't look to be laboring.

Whether that means Bryant will be ready to go against the Packers remains to be seen. Yesterday Jerry Jones appeared to leave the door open for that scenario, as Todd Archer reported, but it seems more likely that the Cowboys will give Bryant the bye week following the Packers game to fully recover from the injury.

Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, "we won't take any chances there" with the return of Dez Bryant from a tibial plateau fracture. Jones said Bryant had some "sensitivity" after running last week and added the big days for Bryant will be Thursday and Friday in terms of playing at Green Bay.

Asked how he felt after practice, Bryant said "my mind is to go" play Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.

"I'm able to run," said Bryant, who jogged some routes before last week's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. "I'm able to do my favorite routes. I just think it feels good. We just progressing each day and getting better. That's what's been happening. Each day has been better. I have that mindset of if I can go, I'm going to go. If I can't, I'm not."

"You want to take your time, you want to get everything right," Bryant said. "You don't want to be back and be half stepping. You don't want to be doing none of that. If I play, I'm going to be rocking and rolling. I'm going to be going full speed."
