As we enter week six of the college football season the action really starts to heat up. This week there are several showdowns involving ranked teams and BTB is here to make sure you know where to find them
#6 Texas A&M @ #12 Mississippi State 12:00 PM Eastern ESPN
The Aggies will venture into Starkville, Mississsippi for their second road game against a highly ranked SEC foe. Both squads feature offenses that are capable of putting points on the board in a hurry and they both feature defenses that are ranked in the top 20 nationally. The game will also be a showcase for QBs Kenny Hill and Dak Prescott. Something is going to have to give. According to the experts the Bulldogs come in to this game as a two point favorite, but Kevin Sumlin's Texas A&M squad has an 8-2 record in SEC road games. This game could go either way.
#3 Alabama @ #11 Ole Miss 3:30 PM Eastern CBS
Sticking with the SEC West, Nick Saban and his Crimson Tide will roll in to Oxford, Mississippi to face Hugh Freeze and a Rebel team that is bordering on a top ten ranking for the first time in quite a while. Ole Miss has built its program around a defense that can be nasty at times, and that alone should keep the game from turning in to a rout by the Tide. The gameday atmosphere in Oxford can't hurt either. Nobody expects Alabama to be intimidated, but that Ole Miss crowd can still impact the game. Saban's bunch will be favored to win on the road, but a Rebel upset is not too far out of the realm of possibility.
#Cowboys scouts will attend No. 3 Alabama at No. 11 Ole Miss today. #Giants, #Eagles, #Bills, #Patriots also there.

#4 Oklahoma @ #25 TCU 3:30 pm Eastern Fox
If the SEC is not your thing, the Big-12 offers up another showdown of ranked squads. The Sooners should win this one, but the Horned Frogs defense could have a lot to say about that. The Frogs simply win up front. They stuff the run and then apply unrelenting pressure to the passing game. Their whole scheme is centered around shutting down the spread, and if they can do that on Saturday afternoon there could be a shake up in the top five. This game is going to be a good one.
#14 Stanford @ #9 Notre Dame 3:30 PM Eastern NBC
Fans are going to need a DVR on Saturday afternoon. NBC is featuring a third game among ranked teams that kicks off at the same time as the previous two. According to the experts the lower ranked visiting team is the favorite in this game. Irish QB Everett Golson and the Notre Dame offense are averaging around 35 points a game and the passer is dangerous from any part of the field. The question is can he be effective against the nation's best defense? With his tendency to play sloppy at times, there has to be some concern in the minds of the coaches in South Bend.
#15 LSU @ #5 Auburn 7:00 PM Eastern ESPN
Once again it is back to the SEC West for another contest featuring ranked teams. This game is one that the Tigers can't afford to lose...either group of them. For the LSU Tigers it would be a second loss in the division and they would be essentially eliminated from the championship race. For Auburn's Tigers a loss would mean surrendering their position in the driver's seat. Both teams have a lot on the line. By the time this one concludes, we should have a clear picture of how the SEC West is going to play out. What that really means is that the race could wind up more confusing than ever.
#19 Nebraska @ #10 Michigan State 8:00 PM Eastern ABC
A day filled with games featuring battles among nationally ranked squads concludes with a contest between Big Ten conference foes. Both the Spartans and the Cornhuskers have aspirations of representing the conference in the National Championship playoffs. Both teams have faced some issues on the back side of their defenses, and this game could easily come down to which team can fare better in shutting down the other's aerial attack.
