what's your projection for lawrence? what are you hoping from him / see in him? he's a guy i was not familiar with at all during CFB, so relying on the boards big brains to learn me.I have more faith in Lawrence rushing the passer this year than ezeraku. I don't see what others see/saw in him to be a pro bowl type
Supposed to be ready by TC last I seen. Then again, they always say this. Don't be surprised if he starts TC on PUP. But maybe only for a week.Has his hip healed yet?
Exactly.Some food for thought:
Compare measurables for Sam Williams to David Bailey this year. They’re surprisingly close.
I think several factors have stunted Sam Williams’ development and production.
A few years ago, he was an an improving trajectory under Dan Quinn. Then he got hurt in camp and missed the season.
Then Quinn left and we’ve had two awful, outdated, short-timers for defensive coordinator.
That’s done a disservice to Williams and every other young defensive player.
I’m eager to see what better coaching might do for Sam. And all of our young defensive players.
I’m speculating that that’s why Williams is back and Clowney isn’t. I think that Christian Parker may feel he can still coach up and develop Williams, whereas he may feel he can’t teach an old fog (Clowney) new tricks.Especially on such a cheap one year contract. He may not improve or help us but we can then just move on and nothing lost.
Well said. Those are my thoughts exactly.I’m speculating that that’s why Williams is back and Clowney isn’t. I think that Christian Parker may feel he can still coach up and develop Williams, whereas he may feel he can’t teach an old fog (Clowney) new tricks.
Money is also an obvious consideration.
Hopefully he can turn into a Josh sweat/Danielle hunter type. I just think his physical attributes translate more to the nfl as a high level rusher than ezeraku. You don't see many guys with eze body type be high end guys. He can prove me wrong and I'm fine with thatwhat's your projection for lawrence? what are you hoping from him / see in him? he's a guy i was not familiar with at all during CFB, so relying on the boards big brains to learn me.
sounds good. hopefully with multiple guys it makes everyones job a bit easier. just get it done, don't care who or how. how do you feel about barham?Hopefully he can turn into a Josh sweat/Danielle hunter type. As I said in another reply I'd love this to be the case.. but what do I know? We kept hearing how sam w was turning the corner but never really saw a big jump on the field. I like exe, but I need to see him healthy in camp/pre season before I get hyped up. Even then we've seen guys do well in camp then disappear. So are you on or off?

I'm probably more hype about him than anybody. We've needed a dawg at linebacker for way too longsounds good. hopefully with multiple guys it makes everyones job a bit easier. just get it done, don't care who or how. how do you feel about barham?
