TMZ Sports is reporting that Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott will not be charged in relation to the domestic violence allegations brought forth by his ex-girlfriend.

The Columbus, OH City Attorney says there were inconsistent details about what the woman claimed were 5 separate incidents from July 17 to July 22 -- and as a result prosecutors felt there wasn't enough evidence to bring a case against the Cowboys running back.

The city attorney also stated that the Ezekiel Elliott camp cooperated fully throughout the investigation. This will surely be a relief to Elliott as he makes his way into his rookie campaign in the NFL. The allegations, coupled with the comparatively minor “pot store” incident, has made it a tough few months for the rookie off the field. The domestic violence allegations were a much more serious matter and could have led to serious consequences.

Elliott should now be able to concentrate solely on his football career. Elliott’s father tweeted about the news.

My son has been vindicated! Truth has prevailed! If he had voliated one of OUR core values I personally would have had him charged! #Justice
