The Dallas Cowboys just can't catch a break in the injury department. Jeremy Mincey, the Cowboys veteran defensive end who is a stable presence along the defensive line, will miss the game with the Atlanta Falcons due to a concussion. Mincey had been missing practice this week but it wasn't sure that he'd miss the game until the Cowboys announced it today. The Cowboys started the season with depth along the defensive line but that is being tested. Terrell McClain was lost for the season after the Eagles game and Randy Gregory will not be back this week as he recovers from a sprained ankle. Dallas is also missing Greg Hardy as he serves out his suspension.
With all these injuries along the defensive line Dallas will have to turn to some guys who have played before and a rookie, Ryan Russell, who will likely see his first action. Jack Crawford could possibly start opposite DeMarcus Lawrence, and Kyle Wilber might have to pull double-duty as a linebacker and an end (he is listed as probable). Russell is listed as probable with a groin injury but should be ready to go.
Of course Dallas will be without Tony Romo and Dez Bryant. Guard Ron Leary is listed as questionable this week, so we might see either Mackenzy Bernadeau or La'el Collins again. James Hanna should be back as he's listed as probable. And Jason Witten, with all his aches and pains, is listed as probable.
For Atlanta, they will be missing running back Tevin Coleman, wide receiver Devin Hester and linebacker Brooks Reed. Everyone else is probable for the Falcons.
