Looking for the next big move in your fantasy league? We’ve got some advice.
Quarterback
Alex Smith, owned in 23% of Yahoo leagues
He’s coming off his best performance in years so naturally folks may see a letdown in week two against the Eagles. The Philly front-seven is good but their secondary is weak. They got a win against Washington but mainly because the Commanders struggled a little more. The Chiefs have the offensive firepower to hang with the Eagles. Smith is a solid pickup.
Joe Flacco, owned in 26% of Yahoo leagues
The Browns gave the Steelers all they could handle. After blanking the Bengals but not performing very well, Flacco will be looking to exact revenge against the rival Browns. The Ravens defense will give him plenty of opportunities with the ball.
Running Back
Chris Thompson, owned 17% of Yahoo leagues
He’s more of a receiving back but he’s got a knack to take one in and score. He did so in week one against the Eagles. His quarterback likes to spread around the ball. Thompson is a good play because he’s likely to get paydirt.
C.J. Prosise, owned in 32% of Yahoo leagues
Eddie Lacy was awful against the Packers as he just wasn’t hitting the holes with authority. Prosise may be getting more time sooner rather than later but he’s also got more wiggle than Lacy. Prosise is a good pass-catcher as well.
Wide Receiver
Marqise Lee, owned in 16% of Yahoo leagues
It’s a shame that Allen Robinson is out for the season with an ACL tear. Lee is going to have to make plays for the Jaguars. He’s going to get targets and Blake Bortles will be looking for a guy to step up. Lee has a solid shot at being the most-targeted receiver in Robinson’s absence.
Robby Anderson, owned in 39% of Yahoo leagues
He’s the number one receiving target for the Jets due to Quincy Enunwa’s injury. This week, the Jets will take on the Raiders and their secondary isn’t iron-tight. The Jets are a bad team but they’ll be competitive. Anderson is going to see tons of targets.
Tight End
Zach Miller, owned in 5% of Yahoo leagues
He’s a safe and reliable target for Mike Glennon who will want some type of revenge against the Buccaneers, who benched him after one year.
Jared Cook, owned in 19% of Yahoo leagues
He caught all five targets in week one and will only be better as his rapport with Derek Carr grows. The Jets will not be able to contain all of the receiving weapons that Oakland has.
Defense
Baltimore Ravens, owned in 47% of Yahoo leagues
They had 25 points in week one against the Bengals and are still available in over 50% of leagues. Go grab them now as they had five sacks, four picks, a fumble, and just shut out their opponent.
Kicker
Blair Walsh, owned in 27% of Yahoo leagues
He outperformed his projections in week one. The Seahawks offensive line struggles to keep drives going, they will need their kicker to perform. Walsh is up to the task after three field goals in week one.
