Things are really rolling along now. It is time to share your fantasy football success (or failure) with your fellow BTBers, but first here are a few tidbits to perhaps help you build on your success.
Quarterback
Start
Carson Palmer - It seems like Palmer makes the list every week, and there is a reason for that. He is a consistent performer for fantasy owners. Every week he goes out and puts up solid numbers. He may not be the top points man for any given week, but he is always right there among the top guys. This week he will face a suspect secondary in Pittsburgh and he should wind up as one of the top three or four passers of the week once again.
Andy Dalton - The Red River Rifleman is another quarterback that has been a model of consistency of late. He is averaging around 23 points per game this season, and this week he faces a defense that has been proven to be vulnerable on the back end.
Blake Bortles - The young passer has been putting up solid numbers this season and now he will get a chance to square off against a Houston secondary that has made it their mission to allow quarterbacks to pad their stats in 2015. The Texans are allowing an average of 23 fantasy points per game this season, and Bortles has the potential to go for quite a bit more than that this weekend.
Sit
Alex Smith - Smith is always unpredictable, see his outing against a porous Chicago defense that should have been ripe for pillaging, and this week he goes up against a stingy defense in Minnesota. The Vikings secondary has surrendered only five scores through the air this season, and the give up an average of less than 14 points per game to opposing quarterbacks,
Josh McCown - You might be tempted to slip Josh into your lineup since he has put together back-to-back outstanding performances but that will come to a screeching halt this weekend. The Denver Broncos defense makes the one in Minnesota look like a philanthropic society.
Running Backs
Start
Eddie Lacy - The past few weeks have not been kind to Lacy, in fact, he has put up some real stinkers of late. A date with the San Diego Chargers defense looks to be just what the doctor ordered for a struggling runner. The Bolts have been the prescription for health as far as ground games go all season long. They are one of the worst units against the run this season. Eddie has to break through sooner or later, and now looks like the time for him to do so.
Chris Ivory - The Longview, Texas native has made three appearances this season and has gone over 22 points in two of those. When he gets opportunities, Ivory has been getting the job done. He will get that chance this weekend, so look at him as your RB2. You can thank me later.
Carlos Hyde - Hyde is the next man up with a shot to gouge a depleted Ravens D. Two weeks in a row Baltimore has given up a 20 plus point performance to an opposing runner and the Ravens are still shorthanded so it would be no surprise if Hyde extends the streak to three in a row.
Sit
Alfred Morris - Injuries upfront have slowed down the Commanders rushing attack, and Morris is now a part of a platoon system at RB . If that were not enough to slow down the Washington runner, the Skins will also be facing a Jets defense that has been more than stout against the run all season.
Wide Receiver
Start
Brandon Marshall - For a while it was looking like Washington had figured out its problems in the secondary, but then injuries started impacting the unit. Pass coverage woes have returned to the Nation's Capitol and Brandon Marshall is just the man to take advantage of the situation.
Calvin Johnson - You may have questioned my choice to bench Megatron over the past few weeks, but I told you his day was coming. That day has arrived. The Bears are dismal in pass coverage and Johnson traditionally does well in meetings with Chicago anyhow. Look for one of those days from Calvin Johnson.
Larry Fitzgerald - Larry has rebounded well this season. He is currently the #2 receiver in the league when it comes to fantasy points. He is facing a Pittsburgh defense that is vulnerable through the air. Look for him to give the Steel City fans a reminder of why they loved him so much when he was a Pitt Panther.
Sit
Pierre Garcon - Garcon is in a slump; there is no nice way to put it. With DeSean Jackson out he faced an opportunity to be the top target for Kirk Cousins and he has failed to deliver. The Jets defense, led by Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie, will make it hard for him to get back on course this week.
Percy Harvin - Harvin has been a major disappointment this season. More and more he is looking like a player that soon will work himself right out of the league. If Percy is on your roster you might want to think about ditching him ASAP.
Tight End
Start
Tyler Eifert - OK he is not Gronk, but then who is? Eifert has stepped it up this season, and he is staking a claim for himself as possibly the best tight end not playing half of his games in Foxboro. Look for him to have another strongouting this weekend.
Sit
Heath Miller - I have all the respect in the world for Miller and his ability to carry far more than his share of the load, but Heath needs somebody to get him the ball and with no Ben Roethlisberger that is not going to happen.
