Looking for the next big waiver wire move in your fantasy league? We got some advice.
Quarterback
Ryan Fitzpatrick NYJ, owned in 30% of Yahoo leagues
Fitzy makes the list again after performing admirably this past week. Look, there are better options out there and he didn't light it up but what he did do what lead his team to an improbable comeback. Fitzpatrick is playing better than he was at the beginning of the season and if you need a quarterback, you can do much worse.
Trevor Siemian, DEN, owned in 12% of Yahoo Leagues
Siemian has played better than what we saw from his on Sunday as he was held under seven points and made tons of mistakes. However, if there was ever a week for a bounce back, it would be against the Raiders who can't stop anyone and have given up the fourth-most points to quarterbacks. Look for Siemian to do a little more and be successful against this soft Raiders defense.
Running Back
C.J. Procise, SEA, owned in 12% of Yahoo Leagues
Seattle is an offense that is committed to running the football, outside of them and Dallas, you don't have that much commitment. Although most of his production came on 80 yards receiving, Procise is a good add as a receiving back that can extra oomph to your flex and is a good change-of-pace option.
Bilal Powell, NYJ, owned in 37% of Yahoo Leagues
We hate to say we told you so, but we told you so. Powell is starting to get more snaps as the RB1 and with Matt Forte as his complement, the Jets are moving the ball better. They had a huge comeback win against the lowly Browns yesterday and Powell was a big part of it. He's a tough runner and especially in the red zone where he could put some points up.
Wide Receiver
Rishard Matthews, TEN, owned in 24% of Yahoo Leagues
Looking to jolt some life into your wide receiving corps? Matthews has been on the come up recently with his production levels seeing a steady rise. He gets a matchup with the Chargers, who haven't been world-beaters in the secondary. If you need a guy, this is about as good as it gets.
Torrey Smith, SF, owned in 22% of Yahoo Leagues
Smith has been hot and cold but look who his quarterbacks have been. still, going up against the worst secondary in the modern era of football, shoutout to the New Orleans Saints, this could be exactly what Smith needs. Then, of course, he could be traded to the Eagles before the week is out.
Tight End
Lance Kendricks, LA owned in 1% of Yahoo Leagues
Coming off their bye week, the Los Angeles Rams get a break by facing the Carolina Panthers. Carolina is a team that is giving up the most points to tight ends in the NFL fantasy world. Kendricks is low-end TE1 for anyone who's got their bye this week.
Vance McDonald, SF, owned in 8% of Yahoo Leagues
Now McDonald only caught 1 pass for 24 yards this past week but his targets are steadily going up and he's going to be a big part of the 49ers' offense going forward. In the fantasy world, there is Gronk and everyone else. If you need some tight end help, here's a guy that should start producing as the weeks go by,
Defense
Dallas Cowboys owned in 14% of Yahoo Leagues
Let's give the home team some love right now who have been playing way above their projections each week. Now, they get a matchup with the Cleveland Browns who have given up the fifth-most points to opposing defenses this season. If they are outperforming their projections, they deserve some credit.
Kicker
Caleb Sturgis, PHI, owned in 16% of Yahoo Leagues
Sturgis is having a great season and it continued with 13 points against the Cowboys. Now, Philly gets to match up with the New York Giants who are giving up the second-most points to kickers. It's going to be a divisional matchup where the "three" could be the difference-maker.
