Last weekend was rebound week for me. Once again, playing with the players I recommended that you start last week I finished in the money (and would have done even better had Percy Harvin not had three TDs called back due to penalties). How did your team fare?

Quarterback
Start
Eli Manning - You can't spell elite without eli but that does not make Eli elite. That does not mean that you should keep Manning on the pine however. Among the chinks in the Philadelphia armor is a bad secondary. That combined with the fact that the younger Manning brother is a streaky passer who is currently on a hot streak gives a good clue that you might want to start him this week. With the addition of an explosive Odell Beckham Jr. to his arsenal I look for the Giants passer to cash in against the feathered flock this weekend.
Ben Roethlisberger - Big Ben faces a Cleveland Browns secondary that gave up a ton of points to the combined pair of Tennessee Titans passers last week. Backup Charlie Whitehurst in particular had a stellar performance in replacing the injured Jake Locker. With top corner Joe Hayden nursing a hip issue, don't look for the Cleveland D to experience a turn around anytime soon. Take advantage and cash in.
Jay Cutler - The Atlanta Falcons have allowed 20+ point performances by opposing QBs in each of the last two weeks. Both Teddy Bridgewater and Eli Manning exposed weaknesses in their defense. On the other side of the equation, Cutler is having a very solid season thus far. With the receivers he has in his arsenal this could be the third straight week of the Falcons allowing a 20+ point passing day.
Sit
Mike Glennon - The Bucs may be on to a good thing with Glennon at the helm, but this week he faces a tough task. The Baltimore Ravens are allowing less than one TD per game through the air. Glennon is a guy who can steal you some serious points given the right match up. He will not get that this week.
Nick Foles - Yes he went to the Pro Bowl last year, but so far in 2014 Nick Foles has been a very pedestrian quarterback. On Sunday he faces a New York Giants secondary that is red hot after holding Matty Ice in check last week. Don't expect much from the Philly passer this week.
Running Back
Start
Giovani Bernard - The Carolina Panthers defense is allowing a league leading 5.4 yards per rush this season. Look for Bernard and the Bengals to capitalize on this and also for them to get Gio involved in the passing game as well. Carolina has trouble with receivers out of the backfield as well.
Andre Williams - The Giants RB will find himself in a position to take advantage of a Philadelphia defense that is weak in the middle. The Eagles inside linebackers have been devastated by injuries to both their first and second team guys this year. DeMeco Ryans may be back for the green team, but there are plenty of other openings for Ben McAdoo to exploit with his running game.
Sit
Zac Stacy - Stacy is one of my favorite backs (behind DMM of course) but he is facing the NFL's top run defense this week and he will be doing that while also dealing with a calf injury. The 49ers have yielded an average of just over 5 fantasy points to DeMarco Murray, Andre Ellington, LeSean McCoy and Matt Forte in recent weeks. Zac Stacy will not fare any better.
Stevan Ridley - Hot off of a top notch performance last week, it would be tempting to get Ridley in on the action. Don't do that! This week he is facing the Buffalo Bills who have the second toughest run defense in the league. The have allowed just over 70 yards per game and have yet to surrender a single rushing touchdown.
Wide Receiver
Start
Wes Welker - Welker should draw Kyle Wilson, the New York Jets slot corner, this week. Wilson is a dream match up for any slot receiver, having given up several big days already this season.Nobody in the game is better at taking advantage of this than is Welker and with Peyton Manning directing the Denver offense you know that this mismatch will be like blood in the water is to sharks.
Golden Tate - With Megatron sidelined to allow his ankle to heal, Matthew Stafford will have to find a new target for his aerial circus. Enter Golden Tate. Against a soft Minnesota secondary, the former Notre Dame receiver should put up some stellar numbers.
Roddy White - Expect White to draw the attention of the Bears second corner, Tim Jennings. He has been generous to receivers this season, 275 yards given up so fat this season and Roddy White is better than any WR2 he has faced so far this season.
Markus Wheaton - Remember when I said to start Big Ben against the great brown sieve that is the Cleveland pass defense? If you don't have him as your passer, you can still cash in by playing Wheaton. He lit up the Browns to start the season, and will be looking for more this time around.
Sit
Kelvin Benjamin - Cincinnati is a tough match up for WRs and Benjamin will be the latest victim of TNew and his fellow Bengal DBs. In recent weeks the Cincy secondary has shut down Kendall Wright and Julian Edelman. I would expect nothing less this weekend.
Eric Decker - First of all Decker is questionable for this weekend, second there are QB issues for the Jets, and third the Broncos corners are stingy with a capital S. They have yet to allow a single double digit effort this season. Did I mention that starting Decker is a terrible idea?
Tight End
Start
Luke Wilson - Dallas is the most generous team in the league when it comes to opposing tight ends. Wilson may be the back up but he looks to get the start against the Cowboys. If you play in a day league, Wilson looks to be the best point per dollar value of the week.
Sit
Zach Ertz - Ertz is one of the better young TEs in the game and in most cases I would want him in my lineup. Not this week. The Giants are a tough match for opposing TEs, and have yet allowed one to find the endzone in 2014. Keep Zach Ertz in your pocket this week.
