The Cowboys have spent a lot of time with Ohio State players this year.
The Cowboys have been spending an unusual amount of time with Ohio State players this year, so much so that you've got to wonder whether they are looking to draft more than just one or two Buckeyes.
Let's review:
At the Senior Bowl end of January, the entire Cowboys staff spent a week coaching the North Squad, which had four Ohio State players on the roster: WR Braxton Miller, TE Nick Vannett, S Tyvis Powell, and DT Adolphus Washington.
They next met Ohio State Players at the NFL Combine in the last week of February, to which 14 Ohio State players had been invited, seven offensive players and seven defensive players.
The entire NFL, including the Cowboys then flocked to the Ohio State pro day on March 11, where the Cowboys contingent was part of 133 NFL scouts/coaches from all 32 teams as well as six head coaches watching and 22 draft prospects work out.
That may have been a bit too crowded for the Cowboys, so they simply arranged a private pro day with the Ohio State players on March 25.

They then brought in Joey Bosa and Ezekiel Elliott for a pre-draft visit as part of their 30 allotted national visits earlier this week.
And as if that wasn't enough, they sent more coaches back to Ohio State for a second private pro day on Wednesday this week.

Lots of people have tried to get their name in the headlines recently by speculating about the Cowboys lack of interest in a given prospect. But regardless of what rumors are out there, you do not invest the time the Cowboys have invested in Ohio State players simply to rule out a prospect. The Cowboys actions definitely indicate a strong interest in Ohio State players.
And the odds are that they'll have the option of picking at least one Buckeye in every round of the draft this year.
Name POS Projected Round
Joey Bosa DE 1
Ezekiel Elliott RB 1
Darron Lee OLB 1
Eli Apple CB 1
Taylor Decker OT 1
Michael Thomas WR 2
Vonn Bell SS 2
Joshua Perry OLB 2
Adolphus Washington DT 2
Braxton Miller WR 2-3
Nick Vannett TE 3
Cardale Jones QB 3-4
Tyvis Powell FS 6
Jalin Marshall WR 7-FA
Chase Farris OG 7-FA
You could create a pretty impressive mock draft just from the Buckeyes on this list. And depending on how the draft falls, that could be just what the Cowboys end up doing.
