What would you have told the 19.2 million users following the NFL on Twitter?
Earlier today somebody hacked the NFL’s official Twitter account. But instead of using the hack to post something witty and funny, the hacker posted a tweet (since deleted) claiming Commissioner Roger Goodell had died.
The fake tweet read, "We regret to inform our fans that our commissioner, Roger Goodell, has passed away. He was 57. #RIP."
Think of Goodell what you will, but that's way beyond anything even remotely appropriate. Goodell of course is alive and well, and the league is again in control of its @NFL twitter account, though not before the hacker got two more Tweets in.
The first one read, "Oi, I said Roger Goodell has died. Don’t delete that tweet."
The third and final tweet read, "OK, OK, you amateur detectives win. Good job."
I'm sure you would have done a lot better with the account than the hacker did, so here's my question to you:
If you had hacked the NFL's Twitter account, what would you have tweeted?
