Smith was pulling outside on a sweep and a Lions cornerback went low on him, hitting him right on the knee. Smith got up but immediately hobbled to the sideline. Cowboys fans were having meltdowns everywhere. Smith was listed as questionable to return and he stayed on the sidelines. If it had been a serious injury he likely would have gone to the locker room.
