The Cowboys struggling cornerback returned to the fold this morning.

Nobody really anticipated that Morris Claiborne's protest walkout from yesterday would last long, and apparently it hasn't. Reports are coming out of Valley Ranch that the cornerback had returned to the facility today. What is still unknown is if the Cowboys will do anything about yesterday's incident.

A cooler head appears to have prevailed on Wednesday morning. According to multiple reports out of Dallas, Claiborne is back at the team’s headquarters. Coach Jason Garrett will meet the media later in the day and will surely be asked about any discipline the team plans to take against Claiborne, which could start with a fine for conduct detrimental to the team and then escalate from there. A deactivation for Sunday’s game would be a possibility as well, although this might be a rough week to go that route.

Yesterday the Cowboys made the move they had to make, they benched Claiborne in favor of Orlando Scandrick. Claiborne has had two poor games this year and one pretty good one. To Claiborne's credit (before he left yesterday), he had acknowledged that his play was poor and that he needed to to do better. The walkout stunt won't do him any favors, but he still has plenty of time to turn things around this season. He may not unseat Scandrick anytime soon, but he could certainly find plenty of playing time coming in on the nickel package if he can beat out Sterling Moore.
