Here are you starts and sits for week six of fantasy football action.
It’s that time again. Here are your fantasy start and sits for Week 6.
NOTE: This is a list of players who are on the bubble when it comes to deserving a starting spot for the week. Obvious choices won’t be mentioned, and likewise - some under-the-radar guys, will. Advising you to start Tom Brady offers no value to you as a fantasy owner.
Must Starts
Quarterback
Deshaun Watson vs. Browns- He’s been on fire for the past three weeks amassing 90 fantasy points. The Brown are allowing opposing quarterbacks to reach nearly 20 points per game.
Matthew Stafford vs. Saints- No team in the league has allowed more points to quarterbacks than the Saints. Stafford should have a big day in the Super Dome.
Running Back
C.J. Anderson vs. Giants- New York has really struggled against running backs allowing 28.10 PPR points per game to running backs over the last two weeks. They’ve also been routinely giving up at least 12 points to four different runners over the last month.
Alvin Kamara vs. Lions- The Lions have done a decent job at stopping the run but they’ve been pretty awful at containing backs out of the backfield. Drew Brees will be looking his way on short routes to allow Kamara to make plays with his feet. Lions are allowing the sixth-most receiving yards to running backs.
Wide Receiver
Chris Hogan vs. Jets- Hogan has been one of the low-key best performers and he should remain in the lineup against the Jet who have given up five touchdowns in four games.
Golden Tate vs. Saints- He’s been a disappointment over the last two weeks or so but this is the right game to get back on track. They are giving up 35.6 PPR points to receivers at home. The Saints have also given up third-most receiving yards to slot receivers.
Tight End
Cameron Brate vs. Cardinals- He’s found the end zone in each of the last three weeks and the Cardinals are giving up lots of points to the position.
Austin Sefarian-Jenkins vs. Patriots- New England is giving up the fourth-most points to tight ends and he’s a perfect candidate to stream.
Defense
Patriots vs. Jets- Any team playing the Jets are likely to have good defensive production, they are giving up the tenth-most points to defenses this year.
Falcons vs. Dolphins- Miami has given up the third-most points to defenses this season and the Falcons are a perfect streaming option.
Sit Them Down
Quarterback
Ben Roethlisberger vs. Chiefs- Big Ben is only averaging about 13 points per road contest. This week at Arrowhead, he’s likely to struggle. There are other options that you could stream.
Derek Carr vs. Chargers- The Chargers aren’t as bad as you may think they are, especially defensively. They have held four straight quarterbacks under 16 points per game.
Running Back
Lamar Miller vs. Browns- The Browns are actually pretty good at stopping running backs. They have allowed the tenth-least amount of points by the position.
Carlos Hyde vs. Commanders- Washington is allowing the ninth-least amount of points to running back this season. Go another route this week.
Wide Receiver
Sammy Watkins vs. Jaguars- Don’t expect Watkins to go off this week in his matchup with Jalen Ramsey. The Jaguars have been especially hard on receivers.
Demaryius Thomas vs. Giants- In a matchup with Janoris Jenkins, Thomas isn’t likely to produce much. The Giants have only allowed one receiver to double-digit points this season.
Tight End
Jordan Reed vs. 49ers- San Fran is allowing the least amount of points to tight ends and though Washington will exploit matchups, this one isn’t likely.
Kyle Rudolph vs. Packers- Green Bay is allowing the second-fewest points to tight ends over the course of this season. The Vikings are going to find it tough to get points out of the position.
Defense
Vikings vs. Packers- It’s a safe bet to sit the Vikings defense against Aaron Rodgers. Even though this is a home game for the Vikings, it’s not likely to go their way.
Steelers vs. Chiefs- The Chiefs are allowing the second-fewest points to defenses this season and the Steelers will not stop these surging Chiefs at Arrowhead.
