In this week's summary NFL power rankings, we take a look at where the Cowboys and the other NFC East teams are ranked on the various power rankings published today.

The Cowboys take a tumble in this week's power rankings, and a few of the published rankings even have the Eagles ahead of the Cowboys. The Giants are moving up quietly, while the Commanders continue to slide.

Week 11 Rankings (previous rankings in parenthesis)

CBSSports.com (Prisco): 11th (10th): "The injuries on defense are killing that unit. There isn't enough talent."

CBSSports (Kirwan): 15th (13th): "The Cowboys are in a four-game, win-loss-win-loss situation. The defense plays hard up front but the injuries and lack of solid play in the back seven was an issue Sunday. They are headed to a much needed bye."

Peter King: 15th (12th): "Dallas’ hopes for the postseason might have gone limping off the field with Sean Lee and DeMarcus Ware Sunday night. That Lee hamstring injury didn’t look like a two-week job. He’ll be lucky to be back for the four-game home stretch, beginning four weeks from tonight against Chicago."

Foxsports: 15th (13th): "The Cowboys gave up a franchise-worst 623 yards two weeks ago against the Lions, so they hit a new low on Sunday by surrendering 625 to the Saints."

ESPN: 15th (13th): "The Saints had an NFL-record 40 first downs Sunday night, three fewer than the Cowboys' play total. Dallas allowed a franchise-worst 625 yards, two more than two weeks ago."

NFL.com: 16th (14th). "Do you ever wonder what safeties are saying to each other out on the field? We think we caught this bit of dialogue between Cowboys safeties Barry Church and Jeff Heath on Sunday night: "Hey, Barry -- coach says it's in the game plan for you to cover somebody." "Yo, Jeff, hey, it's OK for you to actually tackle their guys.""

Blogs & Other Media

Drafttek: 13th (13th). "The M.A.S.H. unit known as the Dallas defense, missing 7 starters and 4 backups to those starters, has concocted a whole new definition to "Doomsday". Meanwhile back at the ranch, the Cowboys' offense has their picture on a milk carton, as they are MIA!"

WEEI.com: 13th (13th): "The Cowboys are at the bottom of the league in third-down conversion rate. On Sunday they were an astonishing 0-for-9 on third down."

ProFootballTalk: 14th (12th): "Everyone realizes this team isn’t over .500 through 10 weeks."

Shutdown Corner: 15th (13th): "The 2012 Saints gave up the most yards in NFL history. They allowed 440.1 per game. The 2013 Cowboys are allowing 439.8 yards per game."

Newsday.com: 16th (14th). "Jerry Jones admits the obvious and says he goofed by firing Rob Ryan and replacing him with Monte Kiffin. What else is the owner gonna say when the Saints ring up seven TDs?"

SB Nation blogs

Big Blue View (Giants): 13th (11th). "The Cowboys play like they don't want to win the NFC East."

Bleeding Green Nation (Eagles): 14th (13th). "Got demolished by the Saints in New Orleans. Their +48 point differential from last week dropped to +16. Dallas surrendered 40 first down [sic] on defense, a new NFL record. To make matters worse, standout ILB Sean Lee left the game with an injury."

Blogging The Boys (Your favorite blog): 16th (12th). "The up-and-down Cowboys got clobbered in New Orleans. They're barely hanging on to the lead in the NFC East, and the mounting injury toll on defense coupled with the growing inefficiency on offense could spell doom for yet anther Cowboys season."

SB Nation: 20th (16th): "The madcap abandon of the Broncos game is a distant memory, as Dallas' offense devolves into a primitive, brutish thing that tries to do stuff in the most difficult way possible. [...] The Year of the Hamstring Pull in Dallas claimed Sean Lee on Sunday night, and the rest of the season is basically shaping up like a Trent Reznor lyric."
