Dallas is not a top 10 without Romo. Then again Denver is not a top 10 without Peyton.

The real question is "Are the Weeden-ful Cowboys a top ten team?" The answer is a resounding no. If we still had a Romo-less team being run by Orton? Probably pretty close, definitely top half.

Hard to say Orton committed yes chances are your right. Orton who refused to show up to camp who would retire before returning? I doubt you get the player who is willing to put in the time and effort the position requires.

Yeah, I'm pushing all that aside and just talking about the talent of the QB. Orton is a real NFL QB who is actually capable of going through progressions and making quick, accurate throws. Weeden is...not.

Sure Orton is an established vet of 10 years who has been a starter much of that time. No doubt he is the more talented player.

Take away a teams QB (If he's good) and usually they aren't a top 10 team.

I posted the table. To do so upload the image to something like imageshack or photobucket. Copy the direct link then embed it into the image link icon above (between the smilie and the media uplink icon).

It'll be interesting to see what the rankings look like after this week. Here's the schedule for wk 10:

Some of the interesting games affecting the rankings may be Mia @ Det, Dal @ Jax (London), SF @ NO, STL @ AZ, Car @ Phil, Chi @ GB and perhaps the Giants game.

BTW, I see NYG and Phil losing this week.

The Packers last year when they lost Rodgers went from a top 5 team to what looked possibly like the worst team in the NFL with Seneca Wallace and Scott Tolzien taking snaps. They won 0 games with those guys.

They stabilized to a 50/50 team with Flynn.

So in summary, with few exceptions (yes, I know about Patriots 2008) losing a 'franchise' QB changes EVERYTHING.
