A look at where this week's power rankings have the Cowboys and the rest of the NFC East slotted.
It's been an up-and-down year for the Cowboys on the field and in our arbitrary summary of weekly power rankings.
After the win over the Giants in the season opener, the Cowboys briefly moved into the Top 5, but the loss in Denver moved them out of the Top 10. The win in Arizona the next weekmoved them back into the Top 10, but the subsequent loss against the Rams moved them back out of the Top 10.
A string of victories over the 49ers, Commanders, and Chiefs moved the Cowboys close to a Top 5 ranking, but the loss against the Falcons sees them crashing out of the Top 10 again this week.

Here are this week's power rankings in all their glory.
New York Daily News - No. 9 (LW: 4)
Dallas tumbles five spots after getting roughed up by the Falcons. The bad news: Zeke Elliott isn't coming back for at least another three weeks. The good news: Left tackle Tyron Smith should be back against the Eagles on Sunday night.
Fivethirtyeight - No. 9 (LW: 5)
Elo ratings are a simple system that estimates each team’s skill level using only the final scores and locations of each game.
SI.com - No. 11 (LW: 4)
On the plus side, Byron Bell looked almost serviceable after replacing Chaz Green in Atlanta on Sunday. Of course, that was mostly because Green, filling in for an injured Tyron Smith, managed to play 46 snaps without putting his hands on another person. There’s a chance Smith could be back for the Sunday night showdown with the Eagles, but if he’s not, this line is in shambles. Oh, and on the other side of the ball, Sean Lee (hamstring) is out, meaning the defense is on the brink of collapse. I also vaguely remember something about a running back being suspended.
Yahoo - No. 11 (LW: 8)
The Cowboys are reportedly worried linebacker Sean Lee could miss three games due to an injury. That’s a major, major blow, especially with the Eagles coming to town next week.
Sagarin Rating - No. 12 (LW: 6)
These are rankings based on W/L record, points differential and schedule strength.
ESPN - No. 13 (LW: 8)
The Cowboys could probably get by without Ezekiel Elliott, but if left tackle Tyron Smith misses any more games, they could be in big trouble. Dak Prescott was sacked eight times against the Falcons last week without Smith -- the most sacks a Cowboys QB had taken since Troy Aikman in 1991.
Detroit Free Press - No. 14 (LW: 8)
They certain aren't the same team without Ezekiel Elliott, but he's not an offensive lineman. Dak Prescott was sacked eight times in the loss to Atlanta. And now linebacker Sean Lee (hamstring) will miss some time.
NESN - No. 13 (LW: 5)
Without Ezekiel Elliott and Sean Lee, the Cowboys struggled on both sides of the ball in the loss to the Falcons. It doesn’t get any easier for Dallas in Week 11, as the Eagles come to town for a “Sunday Night Football” showdown.
USA Today - No. 14 (LW: 7)
Turns out LT Tyron Smith is actually Dallas' MVP ... unless it's really LB Sean Lee. Can't afford either one to take an international vacation.
