The Chiefs and Broncos remain at the top of the NFL Power Rankings, but there's a lot of movement below that.

We are about to find out if the Chiefs are for real. They play the Broncos twice in the next three games, with a still dangerous Chargers team in between. But for now, they are the last undefeated team standing. (Tom)

Just how badly is Manning hurt? Can he beat the Chiefs on a gimpy leg? (OCC)

At this point, Seattle is just cruising. They have the Vikings at home next, followed by their bye week. And then they start prepping for the playoffs. (OCC)

In his tenth year as a defensive coordinator, Rob Ryan could finally be part of a team with a winning record. (OCC)

Coming off their bye week, the Patriots travel to Carolina next. That will be a game worth watching. (OCC)

Quietly, the Panthers are mounting a charge to at least get a wild card spot, and they still have both games with the division leading Saints remaining. Don't count them out - they are not likely to give up 40 first downs to Drew Brees, after all. (Tom)

The Lions hold first place in the NFC North for the first time in franchise history this late in the season. Remember, they used to play in the NFC Central, but still. (OCC)

The surging Panthers held the 49ers to 151 yards on offense. That can't bode well for the 49ers. (OCC)

They beat the 49ers, Seahawks and Broncos, yet lost to the Dolphins, Chargers and Rams. Inconsistency be thy middle name. (OCC)

The Bengals' horribly bungled attempt on 4th-and-2 (that ended up as an 11-yard loss) in overtime is the reason why you don't see all that many coaches go for it on fourth down. The statheads can quote all sorts of numbers at you, write haughtily arrogant papers on win probabilities or even call you a dummy; in the end, going for it was a terrible, terrible decision that cost the Bengals the game. Funny how the absence of Aaron Rodgers highlights not just the offensive but also the defensive deficiencies of this team. (OCC)

The Jets have a scoring differential of -62. Nine other teams have a scoring differential of -50 or lower. Not one of those teams has more than three wins. By rights, that's how many wins the Jets should have too. Incredibly, they have the sixth best record in the AFC and would qualify for a wildcard if the season ended today. Go figure. (OCC)

Gotta like their defense, but Carson Palmer has thrown at least one INT in each game this season. That's even worse than Eli Manning! (OCC)

Michael who? Nick Foles is the flavor of the month in Philly, like Vince Young before him and Kevin Kolb before that. (OCC)

The up-and-down Cowboys got clobbered in New Orleans. They're barely hanging on to the lead in the NFC East, and the mounting injury toll on defense coupled with the growing inefficiency on offense could spell doom for yet anther Cowboys season. (OCC)

The Chargers were inside the Denver 23 three times in their first five drives but came away with only six points on three field goal attempts. That's simply not enough. (OCC)

Coming off a bye week, the Browns head to Cincinnati and if they win there, they'll have the same number of losses as the division leader. The Browns! Imagine that. (OCC)

Ryan Tannehill has been sacked 37 times this season. No team has allowed more sacks than Miami this season, and having two starters on the O-line unavailable isn't going to make the situation any better. (OCC)

When you lose to the worst team in the league, does that in turn make you the worst team? Probably not, but that was a very disappointing outing by the Titans, who lost Jake Locker to another injury. (OCC)

Tavon Austin only had two receptions, but they were for TDs of 57 and 81 yards respectively. Austin added a 98-yard punt return for a touchdown, and totaled 314 all-purpose yards. I guess that's why they drafted him 8th overall. (OCC)

Did you know that the Giants only scored more than 30 points once this season? Predictably, that came in the season opener against the Cowboys. If the Giants don't figure out how to score, their pretty little three-game winning streak will come to a crashing halt. (OCC)
