BTB: NFL Roster Cuts: Eight players that could be of interest for Cowboys

Looking around the league, there are a few names that may be interesting to keep a look out for. There are likely to be a lot of moving and shaking before teams prepare for week one. Who were the more interesting names now looking for homes?

DL Xavier Cooper - cut by Browns

DT Will Sutton - cut by Vikings

G Jeremy Zuttah - cut by Ravens

DT Caraun Reid - cut by Chargers

LB Scooby Wright - cut by Cardinals

S T.J. Ward - cut by the Broncos

LB Sean Spence - cut by the Colts


I cut the commentary out but this is a worthwhile read. I'll leave it here for now although it really needs to go to the Roster Zone or NFL Zone. Staff should move this as they see fit esp if there is little movement here.

We won't sign any of these guys. Our braintrust is preoccupied with figuring out how to get Kellen Moore back on the roster.

I don't see it as pointless as I strongly think they will look at DL esp DT, LBer above all else and likely DB on the waiver wire. I think Scooby Doo would be someone they might look at or another cut for a Mike right now. The problem is having a vested vet day one on the roster with that guaranteed salary plus we are way down the waiver wire as a more practical note.

Yep. I heard they were looking at a swing DB. I'm actually ok and that's the right word at safety but I'm nervous about the lack of work the rooks have put in at CB. I started to mention Swing Tackle but I guess they aren't as worried as I am. Maybe Bell has really played better and he's versatile. I have no trust in Green now but I'd love to be wrong about that.

Former special teams captain. Nothing special at Linebacker, can start in a pinch if needed.

They were supposedly planning on taking Kaaya if he to there sixth rounder but he went in the 5th. I could see them trying to get him on the PS
