Pick 256 is a season-long contest in which BTB members and readers get to pick the straight-up winners for all games each week. In Week 2, the consensus picks correctly predicted only eight out of sixteen games, which is a little disappointing but also highlights the any-given-Sunday nature of the game we all fallow so closely.
Can the consensus improve on that mark this week?
The Week three picks in the table on the right suggest that the consensus picks in the Pick 256 Challenge are bucking conventional wisdom this week .
The games marked in blue are games where the BTB community went against the Vegas bookmakers with their picks. Picking four games as upsets is a little unusual for a pick 'em pool of the size we have, particularly since none of the upsets involve division rivals, where some degree of bias could be expected from a panel mostly made up of Cowboys fans.
Whether that is a recipe success or for disaster is something we'll know for sure after the final whistle of Week 3. But it should make for an interesting weekend.
Given that the consensus is already predicting four upsets, where else do you see an upset brewing this weekend?
Here's a link to the Excel file with all the picks for Week 3, for those who are interested in tracking the results themselves.

Once you open the file, you'll see a blue title bar into which you can enter the winning teams to see where you end up among the 323 participants. The title bar is currently only populated with the winner of the Buccaneers @ Falcons game, so you'll have to fill in the remaining winners yourself.
If you want to see how many other participants have the exact same picks as you do, simply input your own picks into the blue title bar. You can also live update the spreadsheet on Sunday during the games to see how you're doing as the games are going on.
In any case, have fun with the file and good luck with your picks.
