Pick 256 is a season-long contest in which BTB members and readers get to pick the straight-up winners for all games each week.

Last week, fan confidence was not very high for a Cowboys win, with the votes tallied for the Cowboys in our contest coming in at a season low of 65%. That should bode well for the game against the Texans on Sunday, as 98% of our Pick 256 participants picked the Cowboys. Here's our brief history of fan confidence in Cowboys wins so far this season:

Week 1 vs 49ers: 76%

Week 2 @. Titans: 87%

Week 3 @ Rams: 98%

Week 4 vs Saints: 65%

Week 5 vs Texans: 98%

Overall, Week 5 looks like anther week in which our picks went the safe route and picked the favorites (the only exceptions are the Browns and Falcons. But that doesn't necessarily make them safe picks.

Week five got off to a good start for our participants, as 95% of the Pick 256 participants picked the packers for the win, which leaves just 15 out of 321 participants with a 0-1 record heading into Sunday's games.

Who'll come out ahead after Week 5 comes to a close on Monday Night is anybody's guess, but what we already know is that if the results for the weekend come in exactly as predicted above, we'll have 16 participants with 15 correct picks, 61 participants with 14 correct picks and 92 participants with 13. Overall, 312 of the 321 participants would end up with double-digit wins if the Week's 5 results come in exactly as the consensus picks predict. Except. that's not going to happen, because there are bound to be some upsets along the way.
