We enlist some professional help to figure out what the odds are for the Cowboys, Giants, Eagles, and Commanders this weekend.

I don't know that a 3-8 team like the Dallas Cowboys should even entertain thoughts about making it to the postseason, but such is the state of the NFC East that the Cowboys are just two games behind the division lead, with a chance to close that lead to just one game this weekend.

For that to happen, not only will the Cowboys have to win their game against the Commanders, but the Giants and Eagles will also have to lose for the Cowboys. The odds of that happening are not as remote as you might think. FiveThirtyEight.com lists the win probabilities for each NFC East game as follows:

I guess we should be an underdog at their stadium. We've swept lately but they are pesky there. Like their defense but hate the franchise.

What makes this very improbably is that we are 2 games back of not just 1 team, but 2 teams.

Even if we beat the Skins, if the Giants beat the Jets we are still 2 games out of first place with 4 to play and we travel to Green Bay next week.

It would be real funny if the Giants and Eagles both lose and we beat Washington.

That would be great, but I bet some fans on here would not like that we win.

Some fans would be on suicide watch. A top 5 pick that we should use on anybody but Romo's replacement (according to them) is at stake.
