UCLA's Myles Jack doesn't look like a possibility for the Cowboys.

Over the past few months, many options have been talked about regarding the Dallas Cowboys and what they will do with the fourth-overall pick. In this year's draft, there isn't that one player that screams superstar. And considering the plethora of needs on the Cowboys' roster, whether that's a hole or depth, the Cowboys will have a tough decision that will need to be made on Thursday night.

Even after the Cowboys brought back Rolando McClain, there was a thought among the general draftniks that the Cowboys would consider drafting UCLA's Myles Jack in the first round. The addition of Jack would give the Cowboys that versatile, rover-like linebacker this defense has been looking for. Just remember, the Cowboys were on the phone with Ryan Shazier's agent when the Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Shazier just a pick before them in the 2014 NFL Draft. The Cowboys went on to select Zack Martin, but this just points to how that the Cowboys are not entirely comfortable with the trio of McClain, Sean Lee, and Anthony Hitchens. The weakest link obviously being Hitchens.

The addition of Jack to this defense could pay off huge dividends for Dallas. In Rod Marinelli's defense, Jack's impact could be felt in a variety of ways. His cover skills are extremely solid and he's a freak athlete who displays good anticipation skills against the run. However, there are a ton of concerns about his knee. And while there were many reports of the Cowboys' interest in Jack, it turns out there was never any significance at all.

As if it wasn't more clear, this report just solidifies that the Cowboys have no interest in Jack.

With just a few days left until the draft, the Cowboys have had their eyes set on three players since the most recent trades. Ezekiel Elliott, Joey Bosa, and Jalen Ramsey have all been tabbed as potential options for the Cowboys' pick. With Jared Goff and Carson Wentz likely off the board, it looks as if the Cowboys will wait until the later rounds to address their need at the backup quarterback position. And judging by their pre-draft visits and whom they've shown interest in, Dak Prescott and Brandon Allen seem to be reasonable picks in the Rounds 3 and 4.

If the Cowboys are still looking for that versatile type of linebacker, some options in Rounds 2 and 3 are USC's Su'a Cravens, Ohio State's Joshua Perry, and LSU's Deion Jones. But with the reports of Jack and how he continues to hear negative remarks on his rechecks, there is a real chance that Jack could find himself being drafted much, much lower than he should be. But the fact remains that he is no way in play for the Cowboys at four.
