Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle has been arrested on misdemeanor drug charges, according to KAKE TV in Wichita. The Cowboys are in the midst of deciding whether to re-sign star running back DeMarco Murray, and one part of that calculation centered around Randle and his ability to step in as the lead back if they didn't re-sign Murray. Now, after a second arrest in less than a year, Randle's status on the team could be in doubt. Here is what we know according to KAKE:
Dallas Cowboys running back and Wichita native Joseph Randle was arrested in Wichita early this morning, police said. Randle was arrested after police responded to a domestic violence call in the 700 block of South Main at 3:00 a.m.
Police said a 22-year-old woman reported she and Randle were arguing in a hotel room. Officers found marijuana in the room. Randle was arrested on a drug charge.
The couple has a child together. The woman told police she was at the hotel so Randle could see his child. He was given a court date on a misdemeanor drug charge.
On the heels of his arrest for shoplifting, you really have to start questioning Randle's judgment. The Cowboys may decide he's more of a headache than he's worth to the team.
