The NFL has made its ruling on the Elliott appeal.

According to respected NFL journalist Chris Mortensen, Harold Henderson, the designee of the NFL to hear the Ezekiel Elliott appeal, has issued his ruling.

Elliott and the NFLPA were appealing the ruling handed down by Roger Goodell of a six-game suspension in response to a domestic violence allegation. The league investigated the allegation for over a year and issued the six-game suspension, and Elliott and the NFLPA promptly appealed the decision. Arbitrator Henderson was assigned to hear the appeal.

Even though the suspension has been upheld, Elliott is in court trying to get a judge to rule on a restraining order so that the suspension can not take effect. Mike Fisher reports that the NFL will not seek to hold Elliott out this week. This is being confirmed by Kate Hairopoulos.


Elliott will play Sunday against the Giants. Judge will rule by 5 pm Friday on injunction.

We will have to wait until Friday to know if Elliott’s suspension will go into effect in Week 2 or whether he will get a restraining order from the courts that will allow him to keep playing.
