The Cowboys star left tackle picked up the injury against the Lions.
The Dallas Cowboys made the decision to play their starters and keep the pedal to the metal in their win over the Detroit Lions. Dallas walked away with a 42-21 win, but left tackle Tyron Smith walked away with an MCL sprain. That’s the bad news. The good news is that he is expected to be ready for the playoffs.
Jason Garrett said LT Tyron Smith won't play Sunday at Philadelphia. Said he doesn't see right knee injury as serious, though.

After the game Jerry Jones said Smith would be fine and Jason Garrett said he didn’t think it was serious. Smith himself said he was all right after the game. It’s probably a little more serious than they initially thought since they have already ruled him out of next week’s game, but having the bye week before the first playoff game hopefully will give Smith plenty of time to heal and be ready to go.
Defensive lineman Terrell McClain injured his ankle in the Lions game and is not expected to practice on Wednesday.
