Cowboys have filled the void that the Dancing Bear just left with a Marinelli guy.

The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to terms on a deal to bring in defensive tackle Stephen Paea per Todd Archer of ESPN:

The Cowboys have agreed to a deal with defensive tackle Stephen Paea, according to a source. The seven-year veteran played for defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli with the Chicago Bears and started 12 games for the Cleveland Browns in 2016. With the loss of Terrell McClain to the Washington Commanders, the Cowboys hope Paea can help be a run stopper.

As mentioned above, Paea has plenty of experience working with Rod Marinelli and the Cowboys were in need of a one-tech defensive tackle with the loss of Terrell McClain to the Washington Commanders. Paea has appeared in 79 games in his seven-year career and has 125 tackles, 14 sacks, a safety, and three forced fumbles.

This is a great and underrated signing of a tackle that we covered two years ago as a great fit for the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas has now checked one more box off the list. We’ll have the final details of the contract when it becomes public. Buckle up, Cowboys Nation.

Contract Update (Can You Say Bargain?):

Stephen Paea's deal with the Cowboys is worth $2 million, per a source.
