This stupid Amari Cooper narrative needs to die he wasn't the reason we lost
Ummmm he certainly would’ve helped and been way way better than a hobbled Gallup that never had the pedigree or ability to separate like Cooper. I’m not convinced that we lose as many games had we kept Amari.

We should have expected Gallup coming back from a knee injury would not be at full ability this year. So many players take a long time to fully recover back to where they were before the injury. I expect Gallup will be a lot better next year.

But what does that mean? Gallup is not a precision route runner. He's the guy that runs the go route outside the hash marks or the deep posts. He catches ball that are contested. He wants the ball in stride, not on comeback or curl. Gallup is a 3rd receiver and if used correctly he can be a dangerous weapon as he was before his injury.

One negative about Kellen Moore is his use of personnel. Zeke inside, Pollard outside, not the other way around. Pollard is you outlet, never Zeke because Zeke is not really a good receiver. And when they run Zeke out in the flat, he is turned the wrong way. Zeke needs time to build up his speed and momentum. He has to catch the ball with his shoulders towards more squared to the goal line.

I also think Moore needs to figure out how to get Hendershot downfield and in space.

Moore is an enigma to me because on the one hand the Cowboys offense has been so good scoring points. On the other it seems like it could be even better.

oh dear goodness

we went 12-5 and CeeDee took over as number 1 with more yards than Cooper who didnt sniff the playoffs with the browns and probably wont next year

and I LOVED Cooper here but this needs to die in the hottest fire
When he was in Dallas these same posters crying now are the ones who wanted him gone then. They just won't ever acknowledge it.

i didnt want to say it but there was so many "Amari cant produce on the road" and "Amari doesnt care look at his facial expressions" and my favorite "Dont bring him back" threads last season it was sickening

Ced cost to much. Plain and simple. Besides, did you see HIS numbers this year?
Cedrick Wilson never had a chance in Miami....he was up against THILL and Waddle. Then TUA was hurt 90% of the tiime.....Ced was a good #3 WR in Dallas (better than Brown) and think if KM and DAK stays in Dallas then I would welcome a return....if Miami cuts him in the off season its time to bring him home to Dallas

I could see a CD, Gallup, Hilton, Wilson lineup

Yea, not sure how anyone in the building at Frisco could have expected Gallup to return to full form this year. It was a dumb signing.

He also was slotted the no 3 roll, there is a big difference going up against the competiton.

Doesn’t matter when your QB is automatically going to misread the defense and throw to the double teamed receiver.

I'll reserve my judgement for Gallup until next season. We also have to see how Tolbert advances in the offseason. They can add more talent in the draft or add another vet or two in FA. They were def delusional not compensating for Gallup's injuries this year for the time being.

Speaking of Cedrick Wilson, I'd offer the Dolphins a late round pick for him right now. Pick up the $20M contract and everything. We know he can produce in this offense.

The wrong choice was not restructuring Cooper. We could have held on to both Cooper and Gallup with a simple restructure.

I don't have a problem with Dallas choosing to pay Gallup, but they had to know he was going to be slowed coming off the injury. Cooper didn't play like a No. 1 receiver last year, either, so his cost needed to be reduced (well, his cost needed to be reduced anyway).

This front office's bargain FA ways bit it on this one. They made an unnecessary and unwise move considering their new No. 2 was coming off injury and they had no projected No. 3 with Wilson also leaving in FA. James Washington was a shot at potential and those are hit and miss at best. Noah Brown is a fourth or fifth. Etc. It certainly was not a genius GM moment.

The Cowboys offense has been good at scoring points, regardless of the limited weapons, because of Dak. Plain and simple. People can hate Dak all they want, but this Offense scored points galore when Dak was at QB compared to when Cooper Rush ran the show for 5 games.

Cowboys asked Amari Cooper to take a paycut. He refused, thus one big reason why he was traded.

This is why I didn't like Jerry hyping up Gallup like he was going to come back and be himself coming off an ACL. OBJ tore his ACL and didn't even play this year, yet MG guts it out for the team and he gets trashed.

The FO didn't properly insulate themselves at WR after letting Cooper go, and it seems the blame is falling on MG. No, it's the FO. MG will be better, more healthy, next season.
It takes a full year after recovering from the ACL injury. Gallup should be better next year.
