In response to the flood damage Hurricane Harvey has caused in Houston, the NFL has officially moved this week’s Cowboys/Texans preseason game to Arlington.

The City of Houston is in the middle of a natural disaster due to Hurricane Harvey. There are no words to possibly describe the unthinkable tragedy happening to one of the country’s greatest cities.

This has had an influence on the sports world, which pales in comparison to what truly matters. The Texans played a road preseason game in New Orleans on Saturday, and they were unable to get back home. As a result, the Texans practiced today at The Star in Frisco, and now another change has been made official.

The Texans were scheduled to host the Cowboys this Thursday in both teams’ preseason finale. Many have been speculating in the immediate aftermath of Harvey as to how this should be handled. Should the game be moved? Perhaps the game should be cancelled altogether? There are a lot of variables, emotions, and logistics at play, but the NFL has officially made their decision.
