All the more reason that the decision to punt in OT because of "the way the defense was playing" was utterly stupid.
the problem was the D could only stop them around the goal line, and they only needed a field goal to win, really dumb call in light of the fact the D gave up over 450 yards. JJ is know for his dumb HC calls and clock mismanagement, why would anyone expect anything else from that knuckle head. Not sure why he didn't try a FG at that point, I believe it was a espn show that said it would of been the same distance on the same field that was kicked to win the Texans preseason game this year and that is was that kick that sealed Bailey's fate. I think most would have been happy if he had tried that at least. Punting with time on the clock in sudden death just wasn't good in view of the ease the Texans O moved the ball and D being gassed.

I wish someone would tell the talking heads who are defending Garrett that. It's like they didn't even watch the game. The only time the defense played great was on the goal line.

What those numbers fail to show is how do they break by halves? A lot of offenses look great in one half and bad in the 2nd, vise versa with defenses.

I am sure most of Houston yards/completions came in the first half, because I think our D in the 2nd half really limited their TOP and yards. That defensive momentum is what the argument to justify punting at 4-n-1 in OT relies on.

Good stats for overall game, but not complete to give good picture on the progress and flow of it

May have been referring to 13:49 in the 4th, 3rd and 8 short right to Thompson seemed like it could have been caught but a bit hard to tell.

If it's the one I am thinking of, Dak moved in the pocket and then threw a worm burner while jumping off balance for no good reason.

That was not even in the realm of a good or adequate pass.

Another dumb post.

Everyone pretty much understands that you are ignorant. You've been caught essentially making up stats. You've accused people of saying things never said. And it appears, on top of all of this, you are blind as well. If you think that pass to the flat that was seriously low because unnecessarily jumped and was off balance when delivering the ball was a good throw, then I have no doubt you are blind.

Never said it was a good throw, but it was at least 1-2 feet above the ground and very catchable. You would know this if you played the sport and excelled in it, which is painfully clear that you never did.

My goodness, I'm debating with a band player! lol

It was weak. Coach told offense he had no faith in them even though they had made it on 4th and 1 about 90% of the time.
Quoted form an NFL source... Cowboys have gone for it on 4th and 1...19 times, they have made it 18 times... that's is like what 95%? And yet clapper, decides to punt.....go figure. Dufus idiot doesn't even know his OWN teams 4th and 1 stats.

Huge point in this article about Watson vs Dak. Watson had as much or more pressure to deal with and threw for twice as many yards.
He had a 75% completion rate compared to Prescott’s 62%, The pressure got to Dak, but Deshaun largely shrugged it off.

Chuck Knoll had a saying...
"Pressure is what you feel when you don't know what's going on."

Why dont they bench Dak and start Copper Rush? What do we have to lose?

Yeah, let's start old "Copper" this Sunday vs Jacksonville. That ought to be good for a few laughs. :muttley:

Yeah, but Watson's WR's went and caught the ball for him, Dak didn't get that. Hopkins is a beast, and caught everything thrown in his general area, and they had the guy jump a yard up to catch a ball and the commentators said how good Watson was playing... that wasn't a good throw, that was a WR making a play.

LOL. So now you whip out the "I was a high level athlete" argument?

You've hit the bottom of the barrel now. Priceless.

Two tipped balls for int derailed attempts to do something. A dropped ball on 3rd down that would been a 1st down derailed another. In an ultimate team sport the QB gets too much blame for a loss

Dak suffers from a lot of tipped balls. Some are on the WR-- but some are on him. Avon's tip INT was 90% on Dak. That ball sailed and Austin is tiny. Dak needs to lead his target better and work on developing some freaking touch on his passes. He throws too hard and high far too often and his mechanics and fundamentals are really concerning. Makes me wonder what the hell they are coaching him on and having him focus on during the offseason. He is regressing and I don't see much support from the coaching staff for him.

Unfortunately-- he is looking like a once promising player that has been ruined by a sub par coaching staff that refuses to tailor the offense to his skillset and expects him to run the offense like Romo did. The whole thing is broken and I am praying for a house cleaning.

A little digging tells you Dallas was beaten across the board.
