BTB: Three reasons why the Cowboys might consider adding Wentz

I believe it’s a wash. I don’t believe rush is better he has a noodle arm but in a pinch he can win you a game or 2. If the defense is stellar he can win you 4

Wentz has proved over and over that he can’t do it as a starter perhaps he could do the same here as rush

My vote goes to rush as a back up.

There would be the comedic value of hundreds of threads and thousands of posts claiming that Wentz is better than Dak, but if we wanted a backup who sucks we might as well bring back DeNucci (which is plain English, means hell no to either one.)

Well he WAS better than Dak for 1 season....he was better than every NFL player for that season.... and teed the Eagles up for 1st round bye and a superbowl win.

Every year after that he got exponentially worse. Wentz reached a level Dak never has....but then quickly sunk to a level dak has never sunk to. Also, Wentz is kind of a dBag, and Dak is a good dude.

Dak definitely had a more consistent career... but I'd sure take 1 MVP performance and setting ur team up for a Superbowl win combined with 7 poopy seasons, vs 8 slightly above average seasons, and not even a single divisional playoff win.

Wentz did more for the eagles...then dak has done for us....unless you just enjoy being consistently slightly above average... never achieving greatness nor flaming out

Not sure the mindset where having Wentz as Dak's backup is funny. The Cowboys have done nothing in nearly 3 decades.. we could sign Jalen Hurts or Patrick Mahomes to be our #3 QB, and we'd still have no cause to sit back and chuckle at the irony.

I think teams figured out rush and he is going to struggle mightily winning again and he needs a very strong defense to help him out and keep other teams below 20. every game we won, our defense held the opposing team to less than 20, in fact in the wins we held the opposition to 13.8. in the lone loss, Philly scored 26.

that level of defense, is more Ravensque when they won the Superbowl with Banks and Dilfer and we haven't seen a defense like that since.
