The NFL offseason is a time to discuss acquiring new talent for NFL teams. There are endless debates about the right players to pursue in free agency, how much money a team should spend, who they should draft at the end of April. It's all about refreshing the roster and boosting the talent level. We've been engaging in a lot of that discussion here at BTB over the past few months. But for the Dallas Cowboys, there is one player who is counted on to raise the team's fortunes more than any other, and he's not a free agent signee or a draft pick. He's Tony Romo. Without him in the lineup, Dallas' chances at being a good football team sink faster than Johnny Manziel's career.

Fortunately, Romo is going to be back and tweeted out today that he will be a full participant in offseason activities.

Let's go indeed. It's no secret that Romo's return makes this team a playoff contender. The Cowboys will also be getting back Dez Bryant at full strength, too, along with Orlando Scandrick. That alone should make this team much more like the 2014 version than the disastrous 2015 version. Sure, there are still issues to deal with, like the lack of an elite pass rusher and some questionable play at corner. But if Romo is healthy, and stays healthy, I like the Cowboys chances in 2016.
