Question for both Dak lovers and haters:

What do you realistically expect from him and what would be your feelings if he does not meet those expectations?

Me? He signed that contract and quickly went from the best bargain in the NFL to possibly the worst. I expect top 3 in the MVP voting and a deep playoff run. If he does not meet those expectations then I will be highly disappointed and curse his name and Jerrys name along with it for giving him that contract.

The bar is high, he's in "the best shape of his life", he's got his money, and is getting talked up a lot. No excuses. Get it done.
You will not get honest answer from them. They don’t expect much, for them the NFC east is the big trophy. There is no bar for the Dak trolls only make believe based on 4 1/2 games last year, you know the “he was on pace to shatter every QB record “ and win maybe 6 or 7 games. Dak homer trolls provide great laughs daily.

I've already established the ones that care about the Cowboys success between the ones that only care about Daks success. They make it pretty easy.

Amazing how low the bar is now for them. 5 years of it is everyone else’s fault really gets old.

It's sad to see how far the fanbase has fallen. Expecting championships used to be the standard for the Cowboys.

Now their content as long as their favorite player gets paid and gets his stats in.

I don’t blame the players, it’s the FO that has screwed this team with poor decisions year in and out. I wonder what new excuses there will be after another failed season.

I have always hated the made up expectation type stuff. Would your expectations change if say all 5 starting OL and all 3 starting WR and both TE all got hurt in week 1 and missed the year? Of course it would. The expectation is always the same and it doesn't change with any contract or pay day. I have the same expectations of every single player, regardless of position, contract, draft spot, etc. Work as hard as you can to be the best you can and produce to your highest abilities on Sunday. If you give all you got and we get the best version of you every game, what more can you ask for? Everyone does that and the W-L, playoffs etc will take care of themselves.

To be fair, DaK could could ball out, and not get any MVP votes or make the playoffs, so why should that be held against him.

That being said, if we do remain healthy and we don't make the playoffs, that would be disappointing and big Mike should be shown the door.

While this is a cute thing to say nobody in their right mind expects Dak or any other QB to carry a defense giving up 35 points a game.. So frankly if the defense isn't any better than it was last year the results aren't likely to get any better. Dak could pass for 50 TDs and 6000 yards and we would still struggle to get to 7 wins and softheads everywhere would decry his accomplishments as "garbage time stats." The fun part is that if the defense is good, and the line and Zeke stay healthy the Cowboys will win 11-13 games with Dak having to do far less.. and softheads everywhere would decry the win total as coming in spite of Dak not because of him. The narrative is already set depending out the outcome to make sure Dak gets no credit from this idiotic fan base. It's got to be the weirdest thing ever.

The key to this teams success has and will be how the line performs. If they perform well then Zeke will have a good year and Dak will have a good year as will the receiving corps. Now the other side of the ball is a big? mark. have they done enough this offseason to fix it.
Who knows but I like some of the moves. The addition of Quinn being the best addition and Parsons being the second best thing. If we just focus on the second half of last years disaster i felt like the defense was better. As soon as they let poe and Griffin go things improved. Gregory got better as the year progressed and Aldon got worse. As i look at the LB corps as of now i like it better than i did last year.

if we are even middle of the road ranked defense this team may very well win 10 or 11 games and make some noise. If they were to bring in a Sherman at the last minute it wouldnt hurt even though i cant stand him.Having dak back at QB is a big bonus

Then what happened in 2019? 8-8 and that is why he gets no credit. What is weird is this urban myth created that Dak has done anything yet except capitalize on soft stats (Jerry’s term for garbage stats).
