PFF’s twitter account released their top graded players from the 2014 NFL Draft, two Cowboys’ showed up on it.

Love them or hate them, Pro Football Focus does a lot of work and research to provide us with a variety of helpful numbers for players around the league. The Pro Football Focus twitter account released a graphic with a caption that read, “The highest graded fourth-year players last season!”.

For all the love the 2016 Cowboys draft class gets, the 2014 draft class should be looked at in the same light. Both, DeMarcus Lawrence and Zack Martin graded out as two of the five-best players in the NFL from the 2017 season, according to PFF. Lawrence, 26, had an excellent 2017 season recording 14.5 sacks in 16 games. DeMarcus Lawrence received a 94.1 grade and was ranked as the NFL’s best pass rusher according to Pro Football Focus. The Cowboys rewarded the fourth-year pass rusher with the franchise tag this offseason, owing him $17,143,000 in 2018.

Zack Martin, fresh off a record breaking contract extension, also found himself on Pro Football Focus’ list with a 92.2 grade and ranked as the league’s best offensive lineman. Martin, 27, is now the highest-paid offensive guard in the NFL, and makes the second-most guaranteed money out of any offensive lineman in the NFL.

Both DeMarcus Lawrence and Zack Martin are looked at as two of the best players on the Cowboys roster, and will be vital to the teams success in 2018. Both players are healthy, both players are getting PAID, and both players are looking to come out and get the 2018 Dallas Cowboys back into the playoffs.
